For the last few weeks I keep hearing about X-Factor contestant Leona Lewis. This early she is already getting a lot of buzz. Even Simon Cowell has been praising her to high heavens and this week, he did a Paula Abdul and gave her a standing ovation!

Have you guys seen Lewis' performances?

it's no wonder he gave the standing-o... he is mentoring her for the show (she's in the 16-24 age group). LOL

but to be fair, the girl has an amazing pop voice... louis walsh was right, her stage presence does remind me of early mariah. (you know, before the "princess attitude".)

if she wins this... i would not be surprised.  ;D next week's theme is "number one hits"... pretty broad rage there.

- I don't get Leona. She sounds like Christina, looks and sounds like an early Mariah, yup... but I don't get her. When she sings, fast forward na agad,  her voice doesn't sound good on our sound system. ;D Ang hina ng boses niya tapos biglang lalakas when she sings a high note. Basta, I don't get her.
- I like Ben, but not as much as I liked Shane last year. :-* ;D
- Liked Ashley's unique voice too bad wala na siya.
- Can you tell me if Anthony of Eaton Road is gay or just eccentric? My gaydar cannot detect. ;D Ditto with Rey.
- Robert, sometimes I like him, sometimes I don't, loved his last performance though
- The MacDo brothers I liked during the auditions only

There's no one I really, really, really like.  This year's batch - not so good.:P Although the reformatting of the show - I like! ;)

I think Simon's preparing the public for Leona. :P News has it, the Xfactor Winner will release a Kelly Clarkson like song (A Moment Like This), once crowned (if it isn't the actual song).... and that song is Leona-ish not Ben's type (the other possible final 2).

Simon's last comment of her performance was that: America was buzzing about Leona.  ::) Hindi naman ganun kagaling. :-X
