NBC will premiere The Bionic Woman this fall, a remake of the late 70's series that starred Lindsay Wagner. This time around, lead character Jaime Sommers will be played by British actress Michelle Ryan (EastEnders), and the story doesn't even resemble the old series one bit--Jaime is a bartender, gets into an accident, is restored by her boyfriend, then is coerced into working for some secret spy agency--think Alias with bionic parts instead of wigs. Somehow, bringing back Jaime Sommers without Steve Austin and Oscar Goldman doesn't seem right...
-
Baka they might bring in Col. Steve Austin later...to be played by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Heheheh.....
-
That Michelle Ryan is one fit lady.... ;D
-
I hope Lindsay Wagner does at least a cameo
-
Looking forward as to how they will replace the slowmo sequences of the old series when Sommers exhibits her bionic abilities

Was that Starbuck on the preview?
-
Yup, she's part of the cast.
-
Whoa...did I hear it right?..Starbuck is the first Bionic Woman..cool! :D
Oh nice to see the sexy Michelle Ryan as the new Bionic Woman. :)

-
i wonder if they'll remake the six million dollar man. :) baka six billion dllar man na.
-
The pre-air pilot is already available. It's so hard to keep up with all the blessings. ;D
-
Was the Bionic Six cartoon ever related to this (like, as a spin-off or something)?
That said, if local cable channels ever pick this up I'd love to see Lucy Hale again. :D
-
I'm holding judgement on this series. I was not impressed by the pilot and the direction was cheesy especially the part
Jamie is seen crying in the bathtub while her boyfriend tries to explain himself
-
Yeah, hopefully it matures over the next few episodes. Michelle Ryan doesn't really impress me as an actress. She's the weakest performer on Jekyll, the BBC's contemporary take on the classic novel.
-
This officially debuted last night on NBC. Was up against Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice (ABC) at the 9pm timeslot. Let's see which one lasts or gets cancelled.
-
Among the new shows debuting this season (that have already shown) Bionic Woman supposedly had the highest opening night viewership.
That said, I thought it was kind of boring but that could be cause I'm not the biggest sci-fi fan (up to now I've only enjoyed Doctor Who, Torchwood and Heroes). For some reason Michelle Ryan doesn't do it for me.
-
Just saw the pilot episode at You Tube, nothing impressive but watchable.
Will give Michelle Ryan the benefit of doubt. :)
-
Saw the pilot. What a dumb show.
-
According to industry sources, viewership for bionic woman have declined significantly. :( :(
-
i have been following the show. and it's so cheesy. i just don't know if they intended that. i personally enjoy it. but it's more of a guilty pleasure really than watching it as a fan.... ;) :D
-
I'm only putting up with this show because of Katee Sackhoff!

Same...she literally stole the show from Ms. Ryan - and the latter plays the titular character, Jamie Sommers!!!
Currently airing on C/S ch. 9...Fridays (I think - trying to get used to the new skeds and placement)
-
i tried watching ep1&2... not for me.
