Site is very busy though so expect the "Too many users connected" error when trying to access some of the directories. Even the summary list takes a while to download despite being just a Word file. You can get it from the AVS forums as well if you're a member there.
I can e-mail the PDF version to you if you have problems getting it.

Copyright concerns originally limited access to the AVS discs as well and up to now, these are still considered "gray area" releases.

waaaa... if i know na ok lang i-distribute this demo disc, matagal ko na ginawa... nyahaha..kasi parang may nabasa ako sa thread sa avs bawal sya i-distribute... hehe anyway, i already had a copy nung ibang disk, those disc na according sa mga AVS users e worth i-download.. you can PM me if you want a copy...palitan nyo na lang yung DVD...
Anyway, ok naman yung Demo, though yung ibang Demo disk kasi medyo alangan yung pagkakaputol ng scene... kung baga, hindi swabe, bigla na lang mapuputol.. hehe, pero panalo pa din...

great idea here! at last, i would now have an idea what 'demo discs' are all about!
problem lang:
1. using my connection type, it takes forever to DL it :(
2. and i don't have a DVD burner :(
[proof that in my profession (teaching), noone gets rich]
so i'm now knocking on generous hearts ;) ... i would really appreciate it if someone burns me na lang a copy of the worth-it discs ... then we can just meet and i'll just replace the discs that you used; just tell me the brand ... thank you in advance, i know this is would be quite a hassle but i have my fingers crossed
by the way, it would be icing on the cake if the meet-up place is somewhere south (like makati, pque, alabng) ... hehe demanding ba?

I agree! Why don't we post here who's got which demo discs? And once it is complete, we can adopt sebman's distribution chain.
Here's a temporary list of all those who previously posted:
1. ledrahc - has some volumes already but not yet specified which
2. chocovim - demo disc 1 and 19
3. savagecross - discs 3 and 21
4. sebman - currently downloading kids demo disc
5. me - currently downloading disc 21 -LFE2 (but since meron na, i can opt to cancel it and download another; just started anyway)
The rest can just add their collections if they are willing to share. (The others previously posted can delete their names if it's a hassle for them to meet up... sorry for including your names).

I think replacement blank discs are a fair trade considering that this is a not-for-profit exercise but I prefer the "pay it forward" model.
For every volume of a demo disc that you receive, you simply commit to passing on 3 additional copies of each volume to 3 individual PinoyDVD members.
If you don't have a burner, get in touch with a well-equipped member who's willing to help you out. Lots of generous people around here.

btw, as suggested by the owner of the ftp site, IPSwitch yung gamitin nyo. And base on my experience sa software na to, set nyo yung transfer mode sa Binary. Para in case na mag-power failure, or ma-disconnect kayo, pwede kayo mag-resume kung saan kayo naputol.. hassle kasi kung halimbawa 1mb na lang natitira tapos bigla kayo na-disconnect. Tapos ng balikan nyo, back to 0 uli download nyo.. hehe..

i had the same problem with the demo disc 1. i was about to burn the iso using nero 7 when nero told me the file size wasnt compatible with the header size or something like that. i just clicked ignore and it looks ok naman. i still havent tested the whole DVD yet. but the first chapter looks ok. :)

i tried downloading D9,D10,D11 last night but I encountered critical errors. Nagsushutdown ang connection ko and I need to reboot para maayos.
Tried some tweeking and started again this morning, the blaze site asked for confirmation of username/password and wouldn't accept the posted password. I guess marami na nag-aaccess.
I'll try again this weekend, but I might just have to content myself with asking you for a copy of each one and replacing it with blank discs. Tama ba? this is the system here right, getting confused with the other thread.

guys, to minimize disconnection problems, use ipswitch and set transfer mode to binary. Once connected uli kayo, the system will ask if you want to overwrite file, choose resume lang..

bro, you can see the downloading process at the lower portion of the program [INFORMATION WINDOW], super bilis ang downloading pag ganitong oras till morning. usual rate is 1 demo disc per day

I am kinda late to know this free stuff. I wish to have a copy of the Demo Discs but unfortunately I have a very slow internet connection. to those who have finished downloading the iso files, have you tested it na po ba? havent you guys encountered error or corrupt file? Ive finished downloading demo 5,6 and 20, kaso lang only demo 6 worked perfect for me, even tested it with my setup and WOW!!!!! the 2 other files were corrupt, cant open them! >:(

i have tried disc 1 and may error na lumabas sa akin. disc 6 seems ok. i haven't tested disc 19 and disc 10. nasa office kasi sila pareho eh. :)

Mine (disc 18) had no problems. I've also downloaded trailers disc 5 with no problem too. Tested them both in my PC and DVD players and were OK. BTW, how would everybody in the list to have your copies, .ISO or DVD format? I'm using Philips and Verbatim DVD-Rs, any brand of preference?

we must be 22 in this group. each one creating 21 copies for each member (21 demo discs and 1 audio test disc). we then set a meeting place ala mini-eb. those who have downloaded more than one can look for another member who will be willing to make copies for everybody thus becoming a member. in this way, not much investment and also in the effort of producing the discs.

As of this moment, I'm busy converting everything to ISO files for faster burning.
p.s. You may also want to copy the ISO files themselves by bringing a usb driven NTFS formatted external hard disc(s) to my office, but mind you, the whole set is, like, 90gb. I'm also scrounging available space from my external hard discs. I even borrowed one from a fellow member :D

Bro Voj, I have one complete .iso(one of the discs) downloaded from blaze. When I burn it using either Nero or ImgBurn, walang mabasa yung drive ko but it detects that the discs I burned matches the iso size. Is this an O/S issue kaya. Normal burning lang naman sya di ba, I know since I know how to burn image files also.

ive tried a couple and they were ok....i really would like to make copies for those in qc but im having problems with the remote control of my dvd-recorder. I dont have a dvd-burner. My dvd-recorder is working but i cant do anything with it since everything is controlled via the remote.

preferably DVDR minus, better compatibility. No choice naman, CDRKing.
i've used RIDATA, Verbatim, Imation, Sony, Memorex as supplied.
Once in a while, may nag-error sa pag-copy. But the worse was 3 consecutive errors on a DVDR+, I stopped and notified the owner to replace them.
If you ask me what I personally use, I use Taiyo Yuden bought online from Meritline.

Think the FTP Server went down earlier tried to resume the session but it wont allow me to connect.

I have a complete set of demo discs in my office ready for exchange with blank dvdrs. Pinanood lang once nung nagpakopya. This is more complete, 32 discs, includes the AVS demo discs, some DTS demos and others. If you're in a rush, this is it, palit dvdrs na lang. Unahan na lang kayo - pero no long reservations.
For those who want a set made, don't message me anymore whether on board or pm. Just send your DVDrs. If you don't know my address, backread and ask other people for directions. Wag nyo na ako kulitin ;D

To those who want copies of AVS Demos thru me, better bring/send your dvdrs this week. After Nov 11, I will erase all these ISO files to free up my hard disc. Once I erased them, I'm sorry to say that I won't be able to entertain anymore copying because process is too tedious. I've been keeping the ISO files hoping that those who made intentions send their dvdrs. I'm running out of precious hard disc space. Hope you understand. Anyway, marami na naka-copy sa akin and they promised to do the recopying. Hopefully, they live up to their promises. :D
