If you loved Tenacious D and Spinal Tap, you might dig HBO's new show Flight of the Conchords. It's a comedy about "a pair of bumblers from New Zealand struggling to break into the Manhattan music scene." The show includes musical sequences or the band's music videos. The songs remind me of Weird Al Yankovic's parodies. Here's the funniest clip from the premiere episode:

I have this queued up, all six episodes so far. (Tama ba?) :)
Perfect for back-to-back marathoning with Beck Mongolian Chop Squad.
Their Texas Oddysey documentary is also available as torrents. Looks interesting.

Yup, they only have aired six so far. Thanks for the heads up on the docu, pre.
-
No problem, pre. I have all six now plus 13 of Beck. Soon as my sked frees up, marathon na to!
-
I haven't watched all of the episodes after the first one because I'm still having fun listening to the songs on the premiere episode. All of the songs are so freaking hilarious especially "I'm Not Crying".

My favorite is still Business Time. ;D

I got their Distant Future EP from iTunes, and it was hilarious! They're like a wittier version of Tenacious D. Gotta grab those HBO episodes and do a mini-marathon!

The show was recently renewed! ;D
