Watch out for the Amaray cases sa AstroVision outlets.

Got an email from ASTRO saying there are going to have these cases soon and they are still in the process of working out the pricing. ;)

I saw those before, if you are referring to those DVD cases I saw then I think your mistaking them for Amaray cases.

In case you don't know - Amaray is a brand name. The type of casing of these DVD's are called keepcases and snappers. Keepcases have different brands. The most famous of which is the Amaray brand, which I think started or designed the original keepcase.

So this thread referrs to the brand (Amaray) not the type of casing.

Saw these last Saturday and sad to say when I was checking them out nde maganda how it was made so if you are looking for "AMARAY Cases" then this is Not the one for you since these are not Amaray cases. This is a generic DVD Case lang and the one at shoppewise is even more superior than this one kaso ubos na the one at Shoppewise eh.

Story of the moral , este Moral of the Story - get nalang from stac kasi YUN original Amaray cases talaga yon. Thanks again stac :)

i actually chanced upon them i went there last tuesday! (i bought 6). i just wished they'd sell the double discs na rin. (or kung hindi... how about those "swingie" things that can be attached to the hooks that hold the insert... saw those on the 'net somewhere.)

sana they'd let the other astros sell original amaray cases na rin. i'm sure marami namang bibili eh.

moethug - you can try out AstroPlus podium for the single cases. as for the dual wala pa rin ibang sellers bukod kay stac. BAka mag-offer ulit yan. kailangan lang eh bayaran sya ng buo for the whole 100 pcs and then someone else distributes it. di na nya kaya yung sya ang magdistribute to everyone. ;)

nagkasabay-sabay kasi mga proyekto ko kaya hindi ko muna maasikaso mga amaray cases at hirap talaga mag-distribute ng mga cases but you get a chance to meet our fellow pinoydvd members, dami ko na nga mga naka-mini-EB... thanks sir morpheous 8)

not yet... i think. mukhang sinusubukan pa kasi nila yung supplier. pero sa palagay ko... if things pan out... lahat ng astro eventually magkakaroon ng original amaray cases. ;)

brod, try mo rin sa spectra (park square 1), they're also selling keep cases (single and double), Php 20.00 each (mapa-single or double), used, pipili ka nga lang talaga, nakabili ako last month, 4 na single & 3 na double ... :) :) :)

Uy thanks Morph but actually I don't like the color gray pero since I only have about 4 pcs left ng double disc cases and someone was offering naman before kaya I said I was interested in it. I am more into transparent cases kasi, if given a choice.

ganito, maybe we can work out a payment scheme that is favorable to everyone. based on past experience kasi, we had difficulty in getting the orders received and paid. meron mga hindi nagbayad at hindi kinuha yung orders. and then others required a special arrangement pa on the meeting place to get them cases.

is it okey with you guys if we request a downpayment on your orders? this is just to make sure that indeed you will be getting the cases. this way, it will be fair for everyone. if you guys can trust me enough to put a downpayment, say 20% of the total cost of your billing, then we can have a go on this on.

we can also set a single meeting on the pick-up. magastos din kasi yung kung saan-saan pa magkikita just to be able to get the cases. we can all agree on a single time and day for the pick-up.

alamin din muna natin kung how much na ang cost ng cases. will let you guys know asap.

Just want to make sure the double amaray is like the one pictured above. The site calls it "Amaray double DVD with swing tray." The pence pricing on that site is around P32 per on a lot of 200+. Cheaper for single cases. 20% down is fine with me. I hope you can find a cheaper source, but with good quality clear plastic sleeving, no wrinkles. Just advice us the costing and where to give the down. Thanks.

Yup. Like that one yung nakukuha namin. and not to worry, walang mga wrikles yung mga cases. Original as in original talaga sya na Amaray with the "A" symbol inside. As for the pricing, we got the dual cases for P40 each and P35 each for the single. we can still look for alternative sources. we will inform you guys. thanks.

Thanks for the info, Morpheus. I just hope your source won't increase their prices. I almost ordered online but balked at the shipping cost which was more expensive than the 30 discs I had indicated when couriered door-to-door. It's really most cost-effective if you ordered by the hundreds. I would think an enterprising member can do this. Hindi mauubusan yung orders for as long as there as mark-down sales of DVDs with lousy keepcases. I think if you have them for sale at the PinoyDVD booth come Nov 5 for the Hi-Fi show at the Mandarin, they'd sell like hotcakes.

If you're looking for clear double cases, I was able to buy some at Cardinal Audio in Shoppesville Greenhills for P15@. Hindi nga lang Amaray cases -- but they're exactly the same as the ones used by Viva. I had to replace some of my cases of dvds with double-sided covers, particularly that of my Spider-Man 2 -- ang hirap kasi tanggalin ng dvd from the case.

FYI guys, P30/each for the double grey & P25/each for the single gray. If sir morpheus would permit me, i would like to take charge of collecting the payments. However, these would be the terms, if you find them agreeable:

2. Meeting place would be either in Megamall or Shangrila, lunchtime or after office hours; or pick up it my office along pearl drive, ortigas center if you cannot make it on the specified pick up date

blu-ray: no colored amarays are available locally, gray (single & dual) & clear (single) only. He mentioned also the Jewel Cases, haven't seen one yet. Minimum order is 100 pcs. we have to meet that figure to order digipack trays you're referring to.

The standard single disc amarays have clips (if your referring to the ones used for the inserts)

Apparently supplier is still out of stock ??? been wanting to replace a couple of mine too. Recently 2 kids (aged 4 & 2) have rampaged my Disney DVDs. Some cases were damaged, a couple of them have damaged inserts :'(

2) Double Disc Gray Amaray Cases - Php 30.00 - Okay yung quality

Because of this, even for my single disc DVDs, I'm forced to buy the double disc cases, tapos, I just remove yung flap for one of the discs, mukhang na siyang single disc case, except that I have to spend
an extra Php 5.00

Sir, I'm quite sure that CD Outlet, 3rd Floor in V-Mall has them, however, just so that di masayang pagpunta mo doon, you can call them first. I think the number is posted somewhere in this thread.

Hindi e. Also tried to look for those amaray cases sa kanila noon, pero wala raw sila. Try CD-R King, sa mga SM at sa DIY stores. Got mine sa mga stores na yan. :D

Sa greenhills, bro. There's also a 99 peso store sa may shopseville (2nd level) that also sells these cases.

yep, they're real

quality is good but not as great as the old amaray cases.
