Title: Asian Food Channel
Post by: AshKetchum on Feb 02, 2008 at 11:29 PM
Just noticed this new channel on SkyCable (Channel 58), but I'm not new to some of its programs--selected programs have been airing on the Lifestyle Network since December.

This however, is the full, 24-hour Asian Food Channel, with all of its programs, which are all about food, and none of those stupid gossip/entertainment/fashion shows seen on the Lifestyle Network. Finally, an honest-to-goodness 24/7 food channel on cable TV!

The shows are a mix of Asian, Canadian, Australian, and some American programs. There's even one Scandanavian Cooking show which is quite good. I particularly like the Singaporean programs, since I can somewhat relate to the food. Some familiar faces are here too--Martin Yan, Gordon Ramsay, Jacques Pepin, Jamie Oliver.  Hopefully they can get Nigella Lawson's shows as well; I wouldn't mind watching her old shows one bit.

Asian Food Channel on SkyCable has been moved from Channel 58 to Channel 22.

...wow, my last post here was more than two years ago, LOL. AFC's still as good as ever, but sadly SkyCable has put it on their marketing radar and has since then peppered it with their lameass commercials and locally inserted PR crap that's plagued most of their other channels.
