Title: Helboy II The Golden Army (November 11, 2008)

Universal Home Video has announced 1-disc ($29.98), 3-disc ($34.98) and Blu-ray ($39.98) editions of Hellboy II: The Golden Army which stars Ron Perlman. The full details have yet to be confirmed I'm afraid (including the street date) but we can tell you that the 3-disc edition will include a digital copy of the film and around 3 hours of bonus content. The 2-disc Blu-ray edition will also include the digital copy, along with a feature that enables you to build your own comic book. Stay tuned for further details as we get them.

A collector's set containing the 3-disc release will also be available for $59.98. This will include a Limited Golden Army Statue, and an excerpt from the journal of Guillermo Del Toro. The artwork is attached:

Looking at the giftset pic, what's inside is also the lenticular packaging right?

I wasn't able to catch this in cinemas, so I'm very excited of this release :D

There's going to be an R2 steelbook containing both Hellboy 1 and 2.. it's going to be a 4-disc set scheduled for release on December 8.. no artwork yet..

Sony did the 1st and the 2nd was Universal.. I guess, even with a 2nd sequel, the possibility of a box set is not good.. even Del Toro said so in an interview..

I don't think I can wait for another month, I might just get the 3discer R1 (even though the digital copy is no use to me). ;) Thanks bro.

The R1 giftset looks good. Hopefully our R3 is the same. Keeping my fingers crossed that the R3 will have a sturdy box unlike that of R3 Crystal Skull giftset.
