Topic: Xtreamer elvira, Measy a1HD, or kaiboer k3? Which is the best?

Hi mga sir. Just want to ask which is better among Xtreamer elvira, measy a1hd or kaiboer k3. Planning to own one but I'm new in NMT's and have no idea. Hope you can enlighten me gurus. or are there any better brands or model that is good and cheap.

Basic setup is just. HDMI ang video then the audio will be via RCA. I don't need much of internal HD capability.

I'm having a hard time deciding so maganda na rin to know some feedbacks.

Xtreamer elvira - 2,100php w/ 1 year warranty.
Measy A1HD - 2,000php w/ 1 year warranty.
Kaiboer k3 - 2,800php w/ 3 mos. warranty.

I have both the Elvira and the A1HD.

GUI - Elvira looks nicer while Measy is plain looking
Features - 2 USB port for the Elvira while only 1 for the A1HD. The A1HD has a memory/sd card reader though. What's nice though on the A1HD are the physical buttons incase the remote doesn't work. I also like that Measy has a volume control.
Speed - just the same. It's advisable to use a powered HD for 1TB above.
Aesthetics - both are small, the Elvira is a bit more attractive.

If you're on HDMI connection (Measy to PLASMA TV) , can you still use the RCA (Measy) to connect to a HT?

i believe i tried that before with measy and it doesn't work that way. if i have time, i'll go try it out again.

Plasma TV (Digital Out only)
HT (No Digital Out)
Measy

Measy -> TV via HDMI
Measy -> HT via RCA (will play movies via USB)

are you going to use an integrated amp or an htib? i have one setup that works like this.
elvira > hdmi > lcd tv > headphone out > 3.5mm to rca > integrated amp > speakers
measy > hdmi > lcd tv > headphone out > htib

i have 2 different tv sets with this kind of setup, our older sony has more hiss via the headphone out but the other one works fine. if you'd really want to have an nmt that can output via hdmi and rca or optical simultaneously, my wdtv live hub does that fine. maybe higher end nmts will also have that capability.

I have an Elvira.  It hangs specially on large capacity HDDs.  When this happens I need to reboot.  My suggestion is to add a little to your budget and buy an NMT with a faster processor.

I have a xtreamer elvira and a 1TB seagate expansion. Choppy din playback sakin pag masyado na marami laman ng hard disk.

-panung reboot ginagawa nyo sir? sakin kc khit on/off ko ung player, ganun padin playback. choppy padin. but there are times na ok siya mag play. but most of the time choppy talaga.

Unplug then plug again.  Hassle talaga. 

Mga how long bago po sya mag hang?

Bumabagal sya pag 1TB ang nakakasaksak.  But I guess 500gb HDD is ok.  Di sya talaga pang heavy duty.

-ginawa ko rin sakin un sir. no luck pa din.. except pag minsan bigla nalang siya nag auto reboot. hehe! pinsan ko may elvira din, 500gb seagate backup plus, so far la naman sya complain. ewan ko lang pag napuno na hard disk nya.

I had a k3 , i bought because it was the lowest cost player with a Lan connection at the time .. Pero after 14 months nasira na .

Naging issue ko lang ay may oras na hindi natatangal yun osd nya minsan . Kailan mo i reboot . Tapos hindi nag autoplay yun subs nya .. Mukhang firmware issues but it was a good player while it lasted
