Troy

troy metalpak (similar sparrow version from what tbchamp posted)

got curious and took some snaps

packaging
unlike gloss sparrows, there is no ready slip case

sample viewing
oh helen... ;D

troy vs hector scene

admittedly this is a sneaky cutthroat edition, but dayum- talk about bang for the buck...

Rig revisit, 50C10 testing

Finally some R&R from work
Took some photos to reacquiant myself with the hobbies

my trusty htib, hardly uses it nowadays though, normally content with the tv speakers :)

hdvd a collectors item now, no thanks to blu ray

ps2
battle scarred and all

next base for sparrows, the pio for legits lol

samsung la32r81, farewell pix *sniff* to make way for the plasma

golden eye goodness! lots of memories from the mid to late 90s :)

the fighting game machine :)
sorry for the dirty ports lol

havent really explored the GC that much, a lil Mario Golf here and there when im back in Manila

casual gaming with halo, cool eye candy during its time

ff7. sf alpha. tekken 2 and 3. nuff said! :)

monday sickness as a kid (always absent, wag tularan hahah), too much mario kart action! :D
i was totally addicted to beating the rainbow bridge time trials
throw in DBZ, SF turbo damn, awesome console! :)

my first foray into HT gaming, my eyes could not look at 480i games again
tried GOW and mostly into NBA 2k games

not really a saturn gamer, VF2 and sonic titles were cool though

PS3 titles, sticking with my fave titles, evolved into more of a graphics whore and less a gamer as i got older

from afar the PS1 cover of SF Alpha looks great, but close up they look malnourished lol
Stylistically i love those black CDs, hope sony revives them somehow

Salvaged whats left of my cartridge famicom games :D

Most expensive there was Double Dribble (black, ripped label), took me many months to save enough money to buy it for 850 pesos then

DBZ2 was one of my all time faves
who could forget Up X Down B L Y R A?
That rivals Contra's 100 lives imo :D

SNES nostalgia!

Another All time great game- SF Turbo
I just couldnt get enough of this game during my trapper keeper days... Arcade to home and vice versa- this was a classic! :)

On another note, my HDTV successor finally arrived :)
Thanksvm to Carlo777 of pdvd for all the tips! :)

50C10 Panasonic Plasma bound to replace my Samsung LA32R81 LCD

Installed and in place, thanks to Dom of Pdvd for the great customer service

Made an impromptu photo review of the 50C10, went with dynamic mode during the tests but returned to normal mode shortly to begin my break in period

Blu Ray
Holy cow, the movie grain PQ is superb

The black levels are unlike what the R81 can offer

DVD
Looks great at 720p, the vibrant colors, sharpness and contrast meshes wonderfully well and non-eye straining

tests to be continued
thanks for looking! :)

50C10 test shots

Howdy peeps!
As promised here is the rest of the 50C10 photo review
Admittedly i was intimated by the 50-inch screen at the beginning ;D had to tone down the contrast during dynamic mode before settling down to a suitable viewing distance to get shots

PS3

Resident Evil 4
TO be honest i miss the zombie, suspense-filled gameplay of the original, but then again i think Capcom did a very good job reinventing the series.

MGS 4
Solid Snake's last hurrah :)

Tekken 6
My fave fighting game of all time ;D
This was the very reason i bought a PS3 :agree:

NBA 2K10
Random game between the Rockets and the Knicks
Yao benched to avoid another injury

Street Fighter 4
Whenever i play SF i remember the good old days back in Reeno's Megamall B LG. We made a daily trek after class just to satiate our fighting game hunger lol

Pacquiao v Cotto (HD download)
Wapakman LOL

Idol Manny being interview by HBO

Cotto... dayum Pac bust him up real bad

Thats it for my photo review, as with most the tech reviews made by our experts i have to really agree with them.
Outside the reflectivity issues this TV is a must have for any Plasma lover.

Will prepare another photoshoot batch once my break in period is complete.
Thanks for viewing and Merry Xmas everyone! :)

Happy new year parekois!

With the old LA32R81 relocated, finally completed cleaning and arranging everything for my new 50" Panny set up
The reflective screen was quite evident during camflash, heavy drapes are a must for any future plasma buyer :)

First time since Ondoy to do a major room cleaning

My old Ghost rider portrait already half-blocked by the Panny, got lazy to readjust nail position, maybe next time :)

compressed the upper decks according to genre, only managed to finish the major genres (horror, action, sci fi and comedy), will work on sub genres maybe when i get the time later in the year

The black shelves and dvd columns were a nightmare to clean, dust accumulated from months of negligence
Amaray cases lying around the room were arranged at long last :P

metalpak sparrows :P

On another note, finally got the initiative to begin cataloging my other collects after gunpla. The new year break gave me the chance to catalog the rest of my stuff particularly the mags and comics, and since photography is another hobby, i had to make the most out the lull before the long haul of 2010 gets the better of my sked :)
Thank God they were saved from the Ondoy tragedy (im from Pasig btw) so i felt i had to immortalize them sooner or later through photos just to make sure :)

Comics (1991-1998)

I was a big Ghost Rider and Spawn fan back then, got into Batman and Image comics during the late 90s before shifting into other interests

My last collectibles were the knightfall/quest/end era of Batman, from there i took a couple more Spawns out of nostalgia around '99 and stopped from there because of videogames and gunpla addiction then lol :D

Will post my videogame magazine catalog soon (mostly EGM and Gamepro issues from the past two decades)
thanks for viewing! :)
