same situation din ako. either 42ex410 or 40d5000. although sa ngayon mas partial na ako sa d5000 kasi mas madami hdmi ports plus may ethernet port. di ko din need yung home theater sa ngayon

Not sure about the Samsung, but I recently bought this model and came free with a Sony Wall Bracket and the Sony DAV TZ135 DVD Home Theater.  So far, I am quite satisfied with the LED TV although it only has 2 HDMI ports and no Optical In in the HTIB.  HTIB sound output is only 350W max and may be a little limiting in a larger area or if you want more volume.  But for a small room, i think it should be just fine.

I bought mine last October. So far so good.....the HT is quite underpowered but it is good enough for small rooms

compared to other 42" brands, ok ba itong bilhin in terms of quality?? planning to use this one for ps3 gaming and watching movies.. watching local channels is just a plus for me since mas madalas na maglalaro ako at manunuod.. plus na rin yung HT na included..

second, anong format yung supported ng HT na kasama??

Quality-wise, well, it's a Sony.  It's the cheapest HTIB available, that's why it's free.  Kaya don't expect too much.  But then, it's good enough na rin.

Audio Line IN/OUT (Analogue)  1
Dolby Digital  Yes
Control for HDMI  Yes
Dolby Pro Logic/Dolby Pro Logic II  Yes /
Video Signal OUT (HDMI) Upscale 720p/1080i for DVD  Yes

That, I am not sure.  I have since upgraded to an Onkyo HT-S5400.

yes it can. I tested it with my hard drive. some 2gb mp4 stuttered though.

its best that you test it yourself.

Got mine last week.

Hmmm. Pretty much disappointed. 1st my parents own a 46" Samsung led so I can't help it but compare.

1st, I have a WD 1tb harddisk and it was easily detected by Sammy. Unfortunately, my Sony cant detect it. Grrrr!

2nd, I have a BATMAN movie 8+gig. Played it in my parents Sammy and it's excellent. Played it with my Sony and I noticed a very visible ghosting.

Need help gurus how to double check my Sony.

3rd, i have a movie file that when played in Sammy may sound. But in Sont walang sound.

Grabe. sobrang diaappointed ako sa TV na to. kabagp bago nawalan ako ng gana.

Well there's no one to blame but me. Hindi ko kasi tnest eh.

So advise na rin sa mga bibili ng LED tv. Bring your own harddisk and movie files. then try to play it sa iba't ibang brand na pinagpipilian niyo. From there I can assure you na you'll get what you really want.

An NMT is a better option than using the built in decoder of the TV. And its cheaper.

Many choose their TVs solely for picture quality, not its ability to play via its USB port. I don't see how a built-in media player can make or break a TV purchase. A WDTV, Popcorn Hour, Xtreamer, ASUS OPlay or similar dedicated media players are miles better than some crummy built-in player, and they're relatively cheap too (around 4-5K Php).

It'd be better if you bring a dedicated media player, storage device with your movies, and an HDMI cable before purchasing a TV. Hell, even bring an Xbox 360 or PS3 to make sure of your purchase.
