Budget meal is subjective. What may be budget meal sa kanya, hindi na budget meal sa atin.

Good 2.1 plus good receiver - kahit pre-owned lahat.   That's a good start para hindi agad upgrade ng upgrade. I would say kung receiver, Onkyo 6 series or equivalent would be a good start.  Kung speaker, naku mas mahirap - kung magkano nalang budget mo (max it!) basta maganda dapat center kung mahilig ka talga sa movies - so kung maganda center, dapat matched naman yung fronts.   Subs?

BTW sa bedroom ko ngayon, I'm actually enjoying a soundbar.   :)

For a budget meal HT, I say get a receiver, 2 front speakers and a subwoofer.

Ok na yan as a starting point.  Dahan-dahan na lang ang dagdag later.

Wag HTiB, mahina ang power, madali pang masira.

For the video source, get a media player.

Or instead of media player, you can use your laptop or PC if you have one that has HDMI output. Then add a little cash for your media player budget and get a center speaker.

So, I just want to update you guys sa outcome ng mga tanong ko sa thread nato.

I fanally decided to purchase the B&W 685 S2(brand new) and Onkyo TX NR616(open box).

now time to save for an SVS or Velodyne sub.

I'll just update this thread pag may development.
