Samsung's Giant Modular TV Can Turn an Entire Wall Into a Home Theater
It's called "The Wall" and it looks incredible.

Samsung

Samsung is pushing the scale and clarity of high-definition television to new heights with a striking modular TV that's simply dubbed "The Wall."

The display's microLED technology transfers micrometer-sized LEDs into modules that resemble wall tiles contained in one uniform canvas. A pure black base with ultra-low light reflection produces striking contrast and detail.

Samsung claims that it's capable of producing HDR10+ images with "two times superior color purity and a wider color gamut" of competing LED TVs.

As Hi Consumption notes, The Wall's completely modular design allows buyers to build a screen as big as they want, whether it's the centerpiece of a corporate lobby or the biggest home theater in the neighborhood. A 146-inch example over 10 feet wide and nearly 6 feet tall was showcased at CES 2018 in January.

The next-gen TV is currently available for preorder in very limited quantities. You'll have to contact Samsung for pricing info, but be warned: it's going to cost a lot.

Still, it's sure to be one helluva statement piece for any living room home theater set-up.

Nice. i see you, samsung. If this becomes better than OLED, I might just switch to Samsung from LG for the first time. But that's probably several years away from happening. But I will definitely look out for this. :D

MicroLED vs OLED: The Differences Explained:

https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/microled-vs-oled/

"The exciting thing about MicroLED is that it is also an emissive display, but unlike OLED, it doesn’t rely on organic compounds to make light. In theory, MicroLED displays should offer perfect blacks, excellent color, and near-perfect off-angle viewing, just like OLED, but they should also be even brighter, very slim, immune to burn-in, and, in the long run, less expensive to make than OLED."

I've only read a couple of articles so I don't fully understand the technology yet.  In any case, everything I've read about it has so far been positive.  I doubt these will be cheaper than OLED TV's, but it's great that consumers will have this option in the future.

75" LED TVs can be had for as little as $746 in the US and $72k in PH.

Will these TVs drop to $100 by 2026? :)

MICROLED or Micro LED? Thats the same screen I've heard that the Apple iPad Pro is using for the 2021 model, papalitan daw nila ang Retina LCD nila ng microled. Apple wants to be in the cutting edge, but for such edge they'll charged so much. But the Samsung Wall is even more unviable, di mo ito ma-reached, ika nga, its more of a showcase model or meant for corporate and exhibition purposes. Its like Panasonic's 85-inch plasma that could not get produced for the common consumers because the power consumption is too high....

I hope the pandemic hasn't stopped the planned MicroLED reveals during CES (which will likely be virtual next month).

LG now has a competitor to MicroLED in case you're fine with 325" and don't need a 1000" screen:
