Has anyone here bought a copy of this title(Warner Sale @ 299)?  Is it the same with the previous release in snap case?  Feedback please.  Thanks!

also is it a 2 disc version? what are the features included?

my friend bought this and as i examined the DVD, the features indicated on the back are not on the actual disc, if you insert the disc, the movie will play automatically. also, it's only one disc, and the back cover says it's dual-layer, when the actual disc is ONLY single layer..

Update: I just bought this title at Astrovision V-Mall. Sad to say, dvd5 pa rin siya and ugly picture quality.

I don't know e. Since this was a Warner release, I expected good quality. Dual-layer pa nakalagay sa case, hindi pala

I recently bought this, too!  Pwede bang isoli ito with the reason being false advertisement?  Sabi sa cover dual-layer... di naman pala.

I had mine replaced with Lethal Weapon sometime last year.  The reason I gave was I already have VCD copy and I was expecting an upgrade but didn't get it.  Back then I still didn't know what single and dual meant.  Anyway, the manager gave in to my request after a lengthy discussion. 

Suggest you talk to the manager.  Be polite.  Huwag mong awayin and chances are they will replace it.

As far as I know, Astrovision replaces damaged/misleading dvds naman e.

The retailers are pretty accommodating with this title since Warner is aware of the issue.

Fyi, this has been discussed before. The version of Interview with the Vampire available here is still the original DVD version released worldwide in 1997/1998. When Warner shifted from snapper cases to Amaray-style cases, there was a production error that occurred when they printed the new labels.

Unlike the current R3, a better R1 SE was released in 2000 with the following features:

Subtitles: English, Spanish, French
Aspect Ratio: 1.85, Widescreen [16:9 Transfer]
Sound Quality: 5.1 & DTS English, 5.1 French, English Stereo 2.0
Documentary: In the Shadow of Vampire
Interviews: With the Film's Stars and Creators
Production Notes: Stills and Design Sketches

Warner is likely to re-release Interview with the Vampire for the third time when the Blu-ray & HD DVD versions finally street. That particular DVD version will probably be available in Region 3 as well.
