Wow, I hope that's true and not a misprint.

But I doubt it is, since I can't see the movie being almost an hour longer.

And what - instead of hearing that song 100 times... we'll hear it 1,000 times already?  ;D

So, the release date was moved to May 8 instead of March 27...

Since my PLDT DS-Hell has been completely down for 9 days now, I had some time to catch up and watch some of my DVD purchases. This was a really good director's cut! It brought out so much more of the backstory and made the character development far more interesting. Charlize Theron no longer seems like an extra, her part is significantly increased.

The special features are okay. The Wonders' Reunion was a bit lacking, though - Steve Zahn was taped separately from the group, and Liv Tyler was completely absent. What I found a bit odd though was the complete lack of participation from Tom Hanks, especially since this is being marketed as "Tom Hanks' Extended Cut." He only appeared in achival footage, but not at the reunion. No commentary track, either.

Still, a very good extended cut of the film. If you can dispose of that old copy, it's worth the double dip.
