Nakamichi Lumos Portable DVD Player

Nakamichi established its reputation as a manufacturer of high performance audio equipment, particularly that of tape decks over 40 years ago. Today it has gathered all its know how and are producing a superb range of designer style AV equipment that is giving the likes of B&O (A Scandinavia AV company noted for its designer AV products) a run for its money.

One of Nakamichi’s latest entry is the cutely portable Lumos DVD player. Measuring only 203 x 155 x 27 cm and weighing a mere 480 grams, the Lumos features a 7 inch TFT LCD 16:9 display that allows users to view DVDs in all its widescreen glory. The screen claims a picture resolution of 1440 x 235 pixels. Apart from DVD, the Lumos also plays back MP3 encoded CDs, and standard CDs. On top of that there is also a built-in SD Card that allows the user to view photos captures via an SD compatible digital camera.

Ideal as a traveling entertainment companion, the Lumos can also be used as a deck for connection to an external TV system, is able to output 5.1 digital audio channels for a full surround sound performance and is equipped with a built-in stereo sound system for audio monitoring.

Other features include a leather carrying strap, built-in battery power supply, adjustable stand and a remote control.
