the prices are too good to be true... but anybody of you have tried to contact this before?

I run through the list of TVs which claimed to be at low price. Yes, I could say that they are truly low, but most of them are old models.

That's because it's a copy of an old post. At the time the list was originally posted, the models were new and the prices were impossibly low.

You can be sure that the updated list will have newer models and even lower prices. We can also expect the fake contact name to have been changed from Rahman Manurah to another fake name...

Hula ko this is a totally new scammer who simply hijacked the old list. Probably too lazy to research and make his own updated list.

The M.O. is the same. You pay in advance, then you never hear from him again.

Hey guys,

I was also browsing buyandsell and came across the same price specs, but this time, its from a different supplier.

After reading the transaction details posted, i decided to drop them an email and left my mobile number for faster correspondence (sent email yesterday morning). I was thinking they would have a local contact so we can do meet ups instead.

Then last night, my phone rang and when I looked at the number details on my phone, it was an international number. So I picked it up, and the guy on the other line had a totally incomprehensible “engrish”. Told him to talk slowly, and the words I got were, “TV, SAMSUNG LCD, SHARP LCD, Calling from Manchuria”. Hehe, hell, I didn’t even got the name of the guy, but at least I know its about the inquiry I made on these LCDs. Anyway, I just told him to reply to my email, so we hang up.

This morning, I received an email from him. Here’s the transcript:
Hello xxxxxx,

Based on the letter, the guy seems polite (but I guess every dubious con would be like that just to get the deal closed). I don’t want to give the guy a negative review at the onset, but who knows, it could be legit, or not. I was planning on emailing him and asking for local references but I don’t want to push it anymore. Sayang lang…

Besides, I don’t intend to bet my hard earned cash on some guy thousands of miles from here. I’d much rather transact to a person whom I know I can easily get in touch with (and find) so I can smack the bozo if I get stooped.

Offhand, after reading this thread (and others), mukhang MAGANDA OFFER NI NEMESIS sa mga stores nya. Sir, I’ll send you a PM for plasma price inquiries.
