If your PC's video card has a VGA and DVI port then you just need to look for a DVI to VGA converter (your video card may have come with one) and a spare VGA cable and you can connect both your CRT and your Samsung LCD at the same time (multimonitor setup) and use Windows to manage where your desktop is displayed. You can display the same image on both screens or treat one screen as the extension of the other. This has been my setup for my HTPC which drives a 20-inch IBM LCD and my 50-inch DLP TV.

Videocard with VGA and DVI ports:

DVI to VGA Converter:

Dual Monitor Setup in extended mode:

Windows Multimonitor Configuration:

If your video card only has VGA, then you're better off replacing it with one that has dual VGA or VGA and DVI rather than looking for a VGA splitter as this device is not common here.

Want an even cooler setup?  Buy a TV Card for your PC so that you can watch tv on your CRT or your Samsung.  You can resize the picture to whatever size you want (full screen or windowed for the PIP effect).

Hope this helps.

Typical price for a TV Tuner card would range from P1,800 to 3,000. I got the KWorld Plus TV Analog Lite PCI because it supports XP and Vista.

I think meron sa Ace Hardware ... 1 VGA input to 4 or 8 VGA output...perhaps around P2K.
instead of SVideo, use Component.  Picture quality is as good as VGA, HDMI at 40".

Question about VGA connectors...

Does it carry both sound and video (like an HDMI cable)?
Also if you are playing a 720p movie in your PC and you connect it to your LCD via VGA connector do you still get the 720p resolution on your LCD? Or the video quality is lost because you are using VGA (instead of DVI, component or HDMI).
