Samsung Series 3 Input Lag?
« on: Feb 09, 2009 at 12:33 PM »
Hi, just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced some minor input lag while gaming on a Sammy A330 series TV. It doesn't appear to have any "Game Mode" like the higher-end models. ???

You are right. The "Game Mode" is available in the higher-end models like the Series 5. I checked the Series 3 user manual (page 25) and it seems that there is no Mode options, only Melody and Energy savings.

when you say input lag, is it like a ghosting effect of some sort? delayed reaction on games? is the source a pc or console? if pc, what connection, hdmi or vga? if console, composite or component?

This is actually for my cousin's new TV. He uses HDMI with PS3. There seemed to be minor lag in the menus of some games (which he didn't notice on his old CRT), but the actual gameplay seemed ok according to him.
