Use the optical out of your MB to optical in of the receiver. Buy optical able with a length enough to connect to your MB from Receiver.

Set the audio out (control panel) to Digital out by default. No software needed. Enable first the digital out from your sound device manager and lust have the audio out settings (control panel) to support DTS/DD and 96Khz and set the default format to 5.1.

i second this ... better sana kung may hdmi receiver mo to support HD audio, but it looks like there's none, so your best option is to use optical cable for connection
Marantz NR1200, MartinLogan Motion 20 digital audio setup, and Sony A80J

Guys ask ko lang...need some tip on configuring my software HTPC set-up

Im using the latest K-lite codec and ac3filter
regarding sa SPDIF passthrough configuration

while playing MKV files + coaxial cable + reciever do we have to check both AC3 and DTS (ac3filter spdif passthrough)
I have to crank the volume abit to enjoy the movie specially the center channel)

which is which...sa MKV movies naman na encoded with AC3 walang issues..
pls advice thanks
