WD passport wont run on USB DVD and NMT

anyone here also has problems using the WD passport (usb powered) on usb dvd players and NMT's???

is there a way that i can use this device because i like it more than the mybook because its only usb powered and no power outlet needed...

baka hindi kaya ng usb power supply ang device mo.. u might need a USB hub that is powered..

it still didnt work with the powered usb hub... i guess there's a size limitation to the player :(

make sure ur HDD is formatted for NTSF...

yes formatted it in NTFS and tried to plug in to my lg scarlet still didnt detect but sa PC it worked right away... maybe supported passports are only up to 120gb?

What is the brand of your NMT?

USB DVD-capable player usually does not support NTFS partition. It supports up to 320g FAT32 though.

i have a 320gb passport formatted in NTFS and it works with my OPPO 983 and PCH 110.

I agree with this. You may need to reformat your HD to FAT32 for it to be detected by the NMT. some nmts doesn't support NTFS file system  ::).

Sorry to say but,
I object your honor  ;D, the question of the poster is a bit misleading. AFAIK, it wouldn't be able to run your Passport no matter how you format it as your LG Scarlet isn't an NMT (it's a TV with USB slot). I think, it supports only ThumbDrives.

fixed the problem last nyt... just delete all the files that came with the passport like the autoexec and the autorun files with the WD passport and IT WORKED FINALLY!!!
