Topic: is the sanyo 42 ca9s lcd tv a good buy?

looking for a tv for cable viewing and dvd's, is this sanyo model a good performer?

Just thought to let you know,

Sanyo Vizon 42" CA9S LCD is going for 29K at SM appliance center promo in Megatrade Hall at SM Megamall. They also had 37" for 27K, pero ubos na daw.

Ipe-phase out na daw kasi (Jan 2009 line daw, na na-supersede ng April 2009 line), so they dropped the price really really low, and from the looks of it, they've gone really, really fast; they only started last Oct 24, naubos na yung lower sizes, and 20 na lang daw yung 42".

I don't know how this series performs compared to others, and can't seem to find reviews, but the videos they were showing (traliers of GI Joe and Toward the Terra) looked pretty darn good.

I'm not going to get a Sanyo, but others might be interested.

for a 42" @ 29k , i think its a pretty darn good buy, as has been said time and again, cable viewing on flat panel is usually passable and depends on the signal your area is getting, it can be ok to a lot of noise. but as commented above viewing videos seems ok.

it's fugly......looks so squarish and dull ( frame and panel ), PQ is so...so, ok na siguro for the price

there is also 42k20 on sale sa megamall. the full hd 42 lcd were already sold out...

My wife is in the US now and currently on the market for a flat TV,
kasama ko sya ng kunin namin ang plasma kay S&S, and mukhang maselan na din ang mata nya.
She informed me that there are so many brands on market sa US and nothing really comes close
to the PQ of a plasma panel. And one of the brand na nadaanan nya ay ang Sanyo.
She was telling me that the PQ is horrendous (LOL), hindi lang daw pixel pixel ang nakita nya,
kundi square square ang gilid ng image... HAHAHAHA

We ended up buying a 50" Panasonic Plasma panel...

Sanyo may be cheap, pero in our opinion, may ibang brand pa dyan na malapit naman ang price na mas maganda hamak ang PQ...

+ 1 ako dito. i got a Samsung 32 inch couple of months back at a price higher than that. during that time mura na yun so when watching cable tinitiis ko na lang  eventually na sanay na din ako sa PQ.
