Powered / Active Sub to PC

Help! Can anybody tell me if I can connect an active sub to the PC? I currently do not have an AVR (i'm saving up for an onkyo-607 pa).

I'm still using the onboard sound card but my creative xi-fi titanium sound card will arrive this april.
