there is for me. not unless you want to change the gain knob every time you change movies or music you are playing.

If you setup the sub/s correctly, this should not be the case. Setting up the sub/s of course involves how much gain, the cutoff points, and positioning. If the problem is inherent from the source material, then there is nothing you can do about it.

Assuming you use one type of sub only:

One sub at 75 db is as loud as 2 subs at 75 db.

But you get better room response from 2 subs, better headroom which would translate to the subs amp not being taxed as much as one sub with a higher gain, resulting to less distortion.

ok na ung isa or dalawa..huwag ka lang magaudition ng quad sub hihi...before sabi ko oa ata tong mga to walang magawa sa pera...pero hang ganda pala hihihi..uuwi ka mg bahay sasabihin mo..nakakatamad manood hahanapin ko ung mga freq narinig ko kanina hihihi...to hear is to believe...

Tama saka baka naman ung mga sub na sinsabi niyo is yung masakit sa dibdib talaga hear a quad SVS and you will realize panalo pala. With regards to power consumption efficient ang SVS.

Saka mas balance yung bato ng sub di like pag isa lang.  ;) ;)

any pros and cons having no sub kung naka RTi7 ka na?

For music, I don't use the sub.  For movies, yes - both front facing on!

Same here, parang ok nako for now sa walang sub.

Next time na siguro kapag may sarili nakong HT room - which i suppose dual sub setup would be sweet.

Buti naman at na feel mo din na ok na ok yong RTi A7 even with out sub kasi in terms sa bass especially sa movies ay feel na feel mo ang response even the lows kaya nga parang napapaisip ako na wag ng mag sub iwas gastos pa he he he

since you'll be using it for movies, I'll suggest the dual PB1000. you'll get greater and more balanced bass than a single PB12. dual SB1000 is also good, pero baka mabitin ka sa bass depth and impact. ;)

Thanks sir DTNS..
Original plan was Polk RTI A7 and a PB12NSD
now im thinking RTI A5 (save 10k from A7) then 2pcs PB1000 (almost same price as a PB12nsd with the 10k saving)

emailed SVS and they just confirmed what sir DTNS said :)

Hi Anthony!

Thanks for your interest in SVS!  Yes, dual PB-1000s will outperform a single PB12-NSD and get close to the performance of a PB12-Plus.  Running dual subs will also offer a smoother bass response at more listening positions, which is preferred when watching movies or listening to music.

Thanks and let us know if you have any additional questions!

Thick drapes and a thick or padded carpet will do wonders for keeping the neighbors happy ... not to forget the wife as well :).

Why not get a second hand A7 that is posted at MP and Bnew at Rti A5 Tower - P39,990. Kahit less yan mas mura pa din yung A7.  >:D >:D
