SM, Ansons, etc. Your DVD player should have 5.1 analog output.

These THX-certified Logitech's are meant for near-field listening. The Z-680 retailed for about 18k here.

pangarap ko rin yan dati! hehe

pero sir if you are into HT or even audio listening, i suggest you buy separates instead of z-5500... balak ko rin bilhin yan dati, pero sabi ni laptopman kulang sa high freq kaya gusto niya lagyan ng tweeter, para gumanda and tunog

un ay sa tingin ko lang sir...

It has always been general knowledge that separates usually perform better than integrates, and with more advantages, too. Besides, at that price? You are definitely better off with getting separates. But that's just an opinion.  ;D

Get the gold plated ones. The silver ones tarnishes quickly.

As long as the silver plated cable doesn't tarnish, it should be ok.

Audibly, none. Of course, you should at least get decent cables to prevent reliability problems like loose connections, etc. Good quality cables are a must but expensive ones are not necessary. As long as the connections are good, the contact between terminals are good, the wires have adequate shielding and insulation, you should be fine. If you care to look at www.theaudiocritic.com, you should find that the necessity for getting really expensive cables if the one of the biggest lies in audio. It actually tops all other lies. It's in the article entitled The Ten Biggest Lies In Audio. This was shared to us by THE MAN himself, Sir AV_Phile in one of the threads here. But still, different strokes for different folks.  ;D

I had the NAD C320BEE before and it's a warm sounding amp. It maybe able to tame the B2's "brightness". Plus, you get a remote, pre-out/main-in.

ask lang po ulit pano ba i-shield yung wires gamit ng foil? nabasa ko kc saone of the  threads dito sa pinoydvd na pwde mag shield gamit ang foil?

Usually, interconnects are the ones that are best shielded, not so much with speaker wires. Good quality interconnects usually have fatter wires/cables. Some feature aluminum foil shielding, some don't. That's why, most enthusiasts assemble their own interconnects. They buy good quality terminals and use high quality coaxial cables that have aluminum foil shielding. This is one way one can be assured that the cables are well shielded. Although this is not necessary, if you do have enough money to burn on getting or assembling better interconnects, then do so, especially if there is so much RF interference in your area. Usually, enough na naman yung cables that are thick enough to be well insulated and have durable terminals that also have good contact. With speaker wires, getting ones which are thick enough would be appropriate already, say gauge 14, even flat cords would do just fine, as long as one of the two wires is marked so you don't confuse one with the other.

Now with the concept of DIY shielding, it may be too meticulous to do and inconvenient, if not a waste of time. Maybe you'd need some aluminum foil, wrap it around your cables and cover that with electrical tape. You think this would look good? Maybe. But I still think you're better off with assembling your own cables using well shielded coaxial cables. Just my thoughts.  ;D

There are commercially available coax cables with aluminum foil shielding or with a combination foil and braided shielding (better).

As long as the amplifier has a lower impedance than the speaker, it should be ok. There could be problems if it's the other way around, say your amp is rated at 8 Ohms and your speaker is rated at 6 Ohms.  ;)

You can find Sakura's and Daiichi in Raon (Moses Aaron store is often mentioned here). There's also a Daiichi showroom in 5th Floor SM Megamall.

Bro suggest abang ka sa buy and sell section of preowned AVR around 10k to 12k yun tapos get DTX tower parang 5k to 6k set na 5 speakers.

Have anyone tried or auditioned the MC Mode 5.1 MC-2000 HTIB?  Appreciate any feedbacks you may have.  Here's the link to their product.  The Subwoofer is almosts as big as a tower CPU.
