Daiichi fans,

may product display sa lobby ng ParkSquare 1 for Daichi Products: US Audio, DTX, etc.

Medyo magaganda yung mga nakadisplay.. mid to high-end level.. its worth the look.

Bossing hanggang kelan kaya ang display nito? Mas ok kaya ito against wharfs? Anyone can post your comments para inputs na rin. Im planning eighter to get wharf 8.3, or DTX floor stander, or mission. price wise mukhang mas ok ang DTX. Your opinion pls. Receiver is yamaha 430.

sigma delta,

Try to listen to those speakers and find out which one really suits your listening pleasure. Rank them from your first choice to the last in terms their performance based on your audition (condition your mind that all factors being equal).

Then after you have ranked them now is the time to factor the cost benifit analysis of these speakers with reference to your budget. If you are better off with those speakers that are priced lower and suits your taste, then by all means go ahead and enjoy your system end derive endless hours of pleasure from it.

BTW, I have chosen the Mission 73i vs. the Wharfs when I was setting up my HT. IMHO the performance of the mission far outweighs the price difference since I consider my speakers as a long term investment.

Just an unsolicited advise.

Greetings!

To owners of DTX9.5T, do you think it can stand alone without a sub, especially for music listening only?

Thank you.

well..not all wharfs...a well broken in 8.1 can go toe to toe with an m72 but if you can't wait for the 8.1s to break in then get the missions. I even have a cheaper bookshelf speaker that betters an m72 if sound quality is the only concern.

But if your auditioning sa shops most likely you'll go with the missions since they sound good out of the box and a lot of the posters here are using missions, just presenting you though with other options :) for branded speakers monitor audio bronze series is another option :)

Guys,

Before buying Dai-Ichi, think twice.  The Dai-Ichi Subwoofer that is packaged with the HTD-302 is not really 5.1 because it is getting its input signal from the left and right channel input, instead of the subwoofer input.   >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

The subwoofer input is NOT WORKING!!!  This was also confirmed by the Megamall Showrrom of Dai-Ichi (Angie).  Actually Angie was also surprised (???) about what she found out and said that she will file a complaint to the head office.

Just to warn you guys, before you buy!

Probably some problem in her setup of the player. I tested the sub, removed the left, right and center and rear connections, left the sub input attached only. Played EP2 starwars, sub was running ok.

DOHbert,

Is your subwoofer the one with internal amplifier?  or your subwoofer is just the active one?

The set-up I was talking about is the DVD player already has a decoder, then the line signal output was connected to the subwoofer with built-in amplifier (all 6 RCA cables was connected).  When speaker test is done all speakers work!  However, when all the RCA, except the subwoofer, was disconnected and speaker test was once again done, there was nary a sound from the subwoofer.  The left and right RCA was again connected (pulling out the subwoofer RCA this time) and the speaker test was once again started.  The left and right speakers was ok but the subwoofer also made noise when it should have not been. ??? ???

I hope you can help me why and how to correct the set-up.

yep, im using the powered sub with 5 outputs for front, center and rears. The same one used in htd302. However, im using a kebao player, not a daichi. I did exactly the same test ya did, the subwoofer played fine by itself. Even with the tones test of the player it played fine. With or without the fronts, center and rears attached. Probably a setup problem with the player itself, audio is probably downmixed. Hope this helps.

Bought whole set for 15k, sold the daichi player. Self-powered yung sub, yung satellites, dcs302. Problema ko sa sub, solid and buo, medyo matigas pa since bago, pero may kalampag. Parang plak plak plak yung tumutonog pag talagang malakas na and low frequency sya.

Yep levi, that's what im guessing, nag bottom out sya. Have to test it some more. Walang receiver kailangan johndoe, yung 5.1 out ng player directly connected sa likod ng powered sub, tapos 5 satellites get their power from the amp of the sub.

The model number for the sub is dcs5100as, yung satellites, dcs 302.

if you are really keen on buying the Dai-Ichi HT set, just go to Raon, sa Knight store (Audio Room) look for Jenny, she will give you the best price for the set.

proud ako na Philippine made product eto.  8)

Dre. it's better if you audition those speakers. Iba iba kasi ang taste ng tao. One may say that speaker is bright but the other say it's smooth. Sabi nga nila, let your ears be the judge. You better see the frequency response. A speaker whose frequency response is 40hz-20khz is better than the other have a 65hz-20khz in terms of bass ???

i went to the dai ichi showroom at mega kanina..

iba nga if you audition..heto opinion lang po..

yung 9.5t ay medyo ma mid at konti harsh sa high..parang i like the diamond 8.3 better mas clearer.. in terms of bass nila halos pareho lang..

what i like is the 7.6t  it sounds better for me..mas ma-bass and hindi harsh yung highs
