i believe it's an r1 set. i haven't seen any r3 discs so far in the phils, i may be wrong though

ive called astrovision branches sa centerpoint, megamall n sm manila... out of stock sila lahat

can anyone help me? dont wanna bother calling other branches for they might just say the same thing.

kaya tanong ko n lang sa inyo.. what store has LOTR:4 disc set .. in stock?

Just called the Astrovision branches in our area for you archang3l ... that would include Alabang, Festival and SM Southmall branches and they all said wala na but they ordered already and it's coming na daw

It is an R1 set encoded with DD-5.1 EX and DTS-6.1 ES, with exactly the same packaging and insert. Don't know whether ths is Canadian or US version though. Malamang US.

i bought my set from charbit and it is a great buy! definitely worth every centavo. Couldn't wait for Astrovision as they seem to have had only one set per store. A must have for any Tolkien lover. Although 2 lang ang easter eggs/hidden features na nakita ko care of dvdreview.com . Moulin rouge has 15 easter eggs. Shouldn't complain really, punong-pino sya.

Easter eggs yung hidden features that you have to look for in your DVDs. They aren't explicitly displayed on the menu screen. Often you have to press up or down for the easter eggs to appear. Example: sa Fellowship, when you go to the chapter"Council of Elrond" in scene selections, press down at biglang may lalabas na image ng one ring. press enter to see MTV's version of the Council of Elrond(lumabas to sa MTV movie awards)

yup. bought mine from charbit too. sobrang astig. the easter eggs are cool. di kasi pinakita complete version ng council of elrond spoof sa mtv asia... ung TTT preview din astig. cant wait for TTT extended edition!!!

On second disc of the movie I'm experiencing a one to two second pause transition from Chapter 11 to 12. Anyone experienced this problem with there FotR Special Extended DVD Edition? Is this natural?

Got this bit of info from the dvdtalk newsletter:

Peter Jackson has held back some exceptional stuff from the first two Extended Edition DVDs which is slated for inclusion in the final Return of The King Extended Edition. This was done in an effort not to spoil the third film for movie goers before it was released. One scene which was at one point part of The Two Towers Extended Edition (a flash back to the creation of Gollum) has been actually pulled from the Extended Edition DVD to be used in actual upcoming theatrical release for The Lord of The Rings - The Return of The King. One very encouraging note for Lord of the Rings fans who have bought or are planning to buy the Extended Editions - New Line has stated that they are not going to punish loyal fans who buy their Extended Editions buy putting out some sort of other 'Super-Ultimate' Edition or Collection after the third film is out. So your investment in the Extended Editions is safe.

R1 or imported copies? You could post a request in the DVD Marketplace section of PDVD. I'm pretty sure one of the sellers has 1 on stock.

I'm sure na hindi pa available ang Two Towers na gift set or even the 2- or 4-disc set. According to amazon, yung R1 2-disc set will only be available this August, while the 4-disc set and gift set will be released this November.

nope..wala pang available sa astrovision nor sa ibang video stores..the release of the 2 disc version will be on august 26th..regarding dun sa region na irerelease dito..im pretty sure na r1 un.both widescreen and fullscreen versions.like last year..

it was distributed by c interactive(d'concorde) here..

Bawal magbenta ng R1 yung mga shops. Lam ko nireraid sila ng VRB.

i think that problem was ironed out and astro did indeed sell r1 copies of FOTR legally. both the 2-disk and 4-disk editions of the r1 were sold here.

Kahit yung action-figures wala pa gaano nire-reveal, they really want to keep things secret.
