Sometimes you can get lucky at Deeco in Raon. About 2 months ago I bought 20 pieces of elna silmic (47uf 25V, ok for cathode bypass?) for P60 bucks, 50 pieces of Nichicon fine gold (100uf 25V) for about P65.

BTW, was at Phasetron last night & saw several new amps. Isang KT-88 based PP, isang 2A3-based PP, at isang 2A3-based SET.

I got to hear the 2A3 amps. Initial impression, ganda ng mids especially on vocals & sax/piano tracks. Balanse din ang bass & highs at ayos ang detalye. All-in-all, they're decent sounding amps. I liked the SET better, though, as I find it more "malambing" than the PP.

hans, galing ng bago mong toy ha congrats!! ngayon lang ako nakapanood ng LOTR na ang gamit ay tube amp... at di papatalo sa power amp kong THX!! medyo kinabahan lang ako dahil mas malakas pa kayo manood sa tube kaysa nakasanayan ko sa ss amp... whew! buti di ako pinahiya ng tweeter ko hehehehe... in keeping with my balimbing image, as of last weekend i am officially a tube fan hehe... maganda na sa vocals dynamic pa sa rock.

hi, sorry to butt in, the tube amp has two gain controls for the left and right channel which can act like volume controls if you connect the source directly to the amp

thanks. it is an integrated amp then, thus no preamp is necessary.

. di niyo ba napansin, pa taas ng pa taas yung levels na dinadaanan niya. november, naka tono pre amp. january, naka tono preamp na may hafler pa. february, naka AMX na el-34. sigurado ako sa march, naka Dynaco ST-70 yan, Series I pa!
