anybody has a general idea how EL34's sound different from KT88's? these 2 tubes seem to be the ones that are "affordable"... not really buying yet, just checking... sa mga usisero, may balak ba kayo pumunta doon?

i haven't heard the KT-88s. pero, i tube roll my el-34 amp with a 6550 which is a near cousin of KT-88.

compared with the el-34, the 6550 has more ooommph to it. mas emphasized ang lower end.

Was able to have a short audition of KT88 and initial impression tama si Sir Geko my oooowwaaa mmhh yeeehh bwawaaaaa..

sounded more malambing compare to may tube amp and meron din dynamics na type mo sir..

pwede pa kaya ma-audition yung PP KT88 kahit naka-reserve na? ang okey na okey kay mr. sevilla ay pwede magpagawa kahit ano, kung gusto mo ng blue light, or may takip yung trafo, or nasa harap o likod ang controls, additional inputs, pre-out or rec-out, loudness switch, aluminum or wood finish, etc. lahat pwede at a reasonable price... well, at least yun ang sinabi sakin nung nagbabantay sa store.
