baka 6550 yung tube na ginamit

I wont get my hopes up that it will drive the b4s, yung push pull na el34s (if its still there) should drive the B4s, its similar to the amp of hans

btw what mode did you prefer the 6550 amp in? ultralinear, pentode or triode?

Ganon ba talaga yon na hindi masyadong labas ang bass? although taas ang kamay ko pagdating sa high and mid. Or maybe nasa pyesa na pinapatugtog kasi nga hindi ako familiar dun sa nakasalang na cd sana nakapagdala ako ng cd. layo lang dito sa cubao sana some other day makapunta ulit ako don. di pa maalis sa tenga ko yung tunog. gandaaaaa.

As for your inquiry alam ko pwede ka pa-customize ng tube amp base on your specification. plan ko nga magpa-customize ng preamp with phono stage and cd buffer hehehe.

We were there last Saturday and was able to audtion the 6550 tube amp. and your right sir high and mid are heaven as for the bass IMHO ok na ako dun pero like John said what speaker are you using? sayang nga at closing na park square eh kung may time pa bka na audition na with MA B4.. marami sa kasama ko pre interested dun sa 6550.

Sir thanks for letting us hear your wonderful amp last Saturday IMHO pre soundwise ANG GALING!! Price grabe sobra bargain yan!!! was texting Akyat the night before and he was amazing how this baby drive his MS908 with grace at listening volume. we were joking baka yun magic "sili" ang dahilan ng very nice sound.. hehehe.

We were able to side by side AMx amps with 2 classic vintage amp and IMHO di paiiwan.. Panalo!!

My EL34 and Sir Geko david 1 amp pre di nagpahuli yun EL34 sa vintage amp.. kaya i'm very happy galing! we hook it up with Akyat turntable and wowow!! ibang iba talaga LP!

Nung in-audition ko yung amx, i guess 6550 yon, yun alon and AA speaker ang gamit and yun ang initial impression ko. Yung speaker ko ay dai-ichi floorstander. Di lang ako familiar dun sa music na nakasalang so i guess hindi talaga noticeable ang bass don. pero definitely oks sa akin yung tunog na narinig ko. mas ok sana kung si mr sevilla nakausap ko. some other time na siguro. pag may pambili na ako. pero definitelybibibli ako nyang de tubo na yan..grabeee....wheewwww

the pleasure is all mine. next time 'yung 3 wpc 6V6-based SE amp naman ang pakinggan natin.

it's nice to hear that the amp fared decently when compared to the other amps. sana next time, makasama na 'ko... curious din ako kung ano ang mga differences.

'yung "sili" na 'yun ang "secret weapon" nuong amp... heheheh.

i liked the 6550 SE... it doesn't go as low and as loud as the similarly powered scott but that's how i like it late in the evening, when my speakers put out too much bass that i need to tone it down, otherwise the neighbors will petition my eviction... at moderate to slightly loud volume, the 6550 driving my ms902's can go toe-2-toe with my accuphase/ms908 in terms of sound quality... in fact sometimes i think its even beating it, and considering the price difference (20k+) i would say its slaughtering it... i'm not talking about quantity, but quality/musicality... it doesn't have the absolute bass extension of the accuphase/ms908 combo nor its capacity to go loud but it's "just right" for enjoying the kind of music (vocals/acoustic) i listen to at midnight.

and the scott... hmmm how should i describe it -- graceful & strong... bobby enriquez playing wild piano was EXPLOSIVE !! the guys were listening at 3 o'clock volume using my ms908... with built-in phono and line stage, couldn't ask for more... whatever the source & speaker, i have yet to hear the scott sound less than magnificent... the epitome of what i want in an amp, full-featured yet priced just right, and sounds wonderful.

I guess so. Pero hanep talaga ang dating nung amp na yon. parang hiwahiwalay ang notes. parang sinuklay eh. Pagdating ko sa bahay binuksan ko agad system ko para marinig ko kung ano ang diprensya ng tunog. yung tunog sa akin parang dikit dikit eh...may mga nakabuhol pa yatang notes.

for AMX 6550 integrated amp at phasetron, i have yet to try this using my b4s' and if it mates well, then, off i go to phasetron to have sir andrew make one based on my preferred specifications.

hans, pwede kaya gawin separate ang power switch ng phono stage para pag CD or AUX ang source, yung line stage & buffer tubes lang ang gumagana? pwede rin kaya lagyan ng bypass switch yung buffer para pwede rin gamitin yung line stage only? lastly, pwede kaya gawin BYPASS/PRE-IN yung AUX para pag naka-HT ako di ko na kailangan turn on yung preamp diretso na ang signal sa power amp? hehehe gulo no... pagawa na lang kaya ng separate phono & buffer.

pwedeng-pwede. would probably give you 40wpc in pentode mode. lakas n'un!

eh kung... parallel 6550 (valve art copper plate) monoblock. switchable to triode or pentode mode. heheheh.

speaking of st70, hanep sa ganda ng st70 na dinala ni sir isak, may dating na high-tech at modern pero vintage at the same time... kung ganun kaganda tunog ng amp eh di ba it deserves the best workmanship.
