Akyat,

Sound will still improve if you can use Mullard GZ34 rectifier tube. I have one that i'm currently using on my ST70....

Let me know if you want to tube roll and i can loan it to you....

di pa naman pre sinuhulan ko na ang mga gwardiya ng pandesal hehe... mahilig din naman sa mga gadgets ang mga yun, tinatanong nga ako minsan kung anong tatak ng speaker & amp ko hehehe.

a.) hans pre-amp uses 5u4g rectifier tube
b.) amx name plate is on lower right-hand corner of pre-amp chassis
c.) yung tube covers nasa phono stage
d.) naka-telefunken na yung cd buffer ng pre-amp ni hans (since last sunday)

o, eh di, kukunin ko na mamaya yung premyo kong sansui amp.

galing ahh!! tama lahat except yun c).. yung phono stage ko nasa gitna kaya nandun yung tube cover hehehe... bakit nga ba ganun? para balanse tumunog yata hehehe... tsaka hindi pala malinaw sa pic yung brand ng tubes na ginamit sakin all-matsush1ta pero yung kay hans naman ay all-hitachi... may reason kaya si boss andrew sa mga differences na yan o gusto lang niya ma-try yung iba-ibang config para sa 3rd version eh mas lalong patok?

hans, ano binabalak mo sa hitachi tubes pahiram naman para ma-compare hehee

mas okey ba i-upgrade yung buffer tube kaysa line stage?

akyat, palitan mo ng mullard 5ar4 yung rectifier

tapos yung 12au7 ng tono mo ilagay mo run sa cd buffer ng con todo (ang alam ko 12au7 ang ginamit as cd buffer).

yung kay hans wala pero yung kay akyat meron, sa may upper right hand corner nung chassis may thumb screw

arapaap, better if u go there to ask andrew himself... he's usually there around 7:30pm onwards... hindi alam ng mga tao niya ang price ng mga gears (except yung may tatak na price hehe)... ayaw pa yata magbitaw ni sir andrew ng pricing dahil nagbago cost ng parts.

performance of the phono stage is very good... i haven't compared it directly yet with others coz i'm still breaking in, but when we listened to it with john's monoblocks i thought it was really good playing a 70's album i have... i haven't heard that many phono stages so i may not know what i'm talking about hehehe.

btw we tested the phono stage of konTOdo preamp initial result ok na ok clean sound yun level nya just right.. (note test was done at Sir Isak house ganda ng turntable mo sir pati LP ).

bago ko kalikutin one last shot habang ayus pa..

good idea from hans yung 2 outputs, we can use it to control speakers and sub via single volume control..

eto nabuksan na ang spaghetti.. masikip na pala, i think yun phono at buffer ang nagpagulo..

haaaaay... balik takip, buti ayus pa at hindi ko nasira hehe..
