Topic: Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box---digipak?

This seller is trying to sell me his Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box dvd, but I've never seen that packaging for that release before. What do you think?

We are supposed to meet tomorrow so I really need to know now whether I should push through with the purchase.

Is that supposed to be R1?

If it is, it looks suspect to me. I'm not familiar with a Digipak release for that title, the version I saw was like that posted on Amazon, with keep cases:



Also, usually when the picture printed on the disc matches pictures underneath on the Digipak, the disc art is usually the same size as what's printed on the case - in the sample you linked to, it's smaller.

I'd proceed with caution. Maybe someone has seen a version of this like the one you linked to, but I have not. I'm not aware of what other region releases for this set look like, though. Maybe it's a Korean R3?

When I talked to the seller on the phone, he didn't seem to know about regions. I even tried to explain it to him. But I'm pretty sure from the conversation that it isn't R1. I tried to ask him to show me pictures of the back but he said it's not possible at the moment.

Hmmp. When I saw this last night, I was excited pa naman. He also had LOTR giftsets at 2.5k each and they looked all right so I was crossing my fingers. :'c

It could be a legit version, just not one that I'm familiar with it. But if you look at the picture he posted of the closed box (with clear slipcase), there seems to be Chinese lettering on the spine - usually a bad sign. I'm seriously doubtful though, mostly due to the disc art that doesn't align with the digipak art.

Some of the DVDs he posted have Chinese Characters, unless those are original Chinese DVD from China which is Region 6 or from Taiwan which is also Region 3.

I have the bootleg version of the ToyStory, his is 3 disc, I have the 2 disc version. Same packaging.

Thank you, this is helpful. One of my arguments under my 'To Buy'-decision column is 'well, the packaging looks all right'.

I doubt din that they're legit... though the Scream boxset he is selling looks like the Korean R3 release with the glow in the dark cover. Tsaka bakit yung Lethal Weapon 4 na digipack yung backcover ang design sa loob ng digipack? Just points to consider. Pero type ko din yung 3D glasses sa Shrek, mukhang mas ok pa dun sa kasama whe nI bought the R3 release.
