Well, given that the TV series doesn't necessarily adopt the same cast, relationships, manner and time of grisly death of characters in the comic books, I doubt if they'd necessarily follow *that* turn of event in issue #100.

One thing is for sure, though: like the comics, the TV series has no qualms killing off even major characters, and in as graphic and disturbing a manner at that.

Btw, may issue #102 na ba?
Going 3D, at last! (And I don't care it it's a fad.)

It's unlikely that they'll do this, as there's already a non-comic book character in the TV series that's missing a limb--Merle Dixon, brother of Daryl, who will be back this season sporting various hand & arm attachments

I wonder if the TV series will show the Governor's zombified daughter and their borderline incestuous relationship, and Michonne torturing the Governor - nailing his penis to a floorboard, boring a hole on his shoulder with a mechanical drill, pulling his fingernails out with a plier, cutting off one of his arms with her samurai and then cauterizing the wound with a torch, shoving a spoon inside his ass, and then using said spoon to carve out his eyeball as revenge for savagely raping her.

I've long grown tired of the torture porn genre (i.e. the Saw, Hostel movies> that momentarily became the fad in the US, but I actually, uhm, enjoyed reading this one scene over and over (thus the very detailed description above), given how much of a total bottomfeeding scuzzbucket the Governor's character was.

And lemme just say this early: Michonne, I love you and I will be buying your action figure as soon as it becomes available.

@Asburndaride: If that torture scene makes it to the TV series, I will be playing and replaying it to any of the tracks on NTN's The Fragile album ("The Day The World Went Away" and "The Wretched" comes to mind). MTV Music Video of the Year material, fersure ;D
Going 3D, at last! (And I don't care it it's a fad.)

Not in its entirety, no. But my imagined TV series reenactment of the Governor's torture scene will do just fine as substitute ;D

Methinks T-Dog get's axed this season ...... both figuratively & literally (via Merle's hand-attachments of course).

The guy looks completely lost among the entire cast.

Can't wait for Season 3.

I find T-Dog's character to be the flesh-and-blood equivalent of South Park's 'Token', whose name is a wordplay for 'token black guy' - the lonesome black boyfriend/girlfriend added to the main cast of predominantly white lead characters to give the illusion of multiculturalism in the show.

And yes, T-Dog's character is about as useful as a third armpit. Excise all his scenes out of the show and you wouldn't even notice the difference. Agree, he'd probably be fodder for that vengeful redneck Merle. Heeeyyy... what you guys think of a standoff between Merle and Daryl over the fate of T-Dog? ;D

it's a waste of time for both Merle and Daryl. let him be a zombie fodder in the first minute of the first episode.

Yup, it's inevitable ...... Merle wants some redneck payback ...... which'll be in direct conflict with Daryl's bond with the group.

T-Dog definitely gets axed this season ..... I'd pick a risen Shane over T-Dog any day of the week.

And yes ...... T-Dog is the token black guy.

They do glitzy red carpet screening events for TV season premieres now?

The Walking Dead held one last week in Los Angeles, with the show's cast and crew taking a break from filming to attend and celebrate the upcoming season.

from left to right: David Morrissey (The Governor), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori), Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie).

Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol), Michael Rooker (Merle), Scott Wilson (Hershel)

IronE Singleton (T-Dog), Emily Kinney (Beth), Chandler Riggs (Carl)

I'm not used to seeing all these people cleaned up and dressed to the nines, LOL  ;D

I, for one, am actually longing for a Vanity Fair cover of all the WD womyn glammed up and everything, para naman maiba sa usual harried, dirty appearance nila on TV.
