I think Rick brought people whom he thinks has composure to keep calm but will act accordingly in a moment's notice. Glenn and Michonne are a bit on edge and might snap upon seeing the Governor. Of course Merle is always erratic not to mention unpredictable.

Agreed on the black listed people you mentioned, but I wouldn't mind tagging the new certified Bad @$$ Carl or even Carol (they said that she is a good shot).... Rick has to risk it, Hershel can manage the prison since Michonne, Glenn and Maggie can tame Merle.

besides, Carl or Carol can kick Milton's loyal @$$ anytime!

Carl has an itchy trigger finger though. And I don't know if Carol is battle tested or displays grace under pressure. Maybe shooting at zombies is different from shooting a mobile target with experience and also who shoots back such as the Governor's soldiers.

LOL, true. And yet, meeting Hershel seems to have changed Milton's viewpoint about Rick's group--you can see that he's clearly opposed to the Governor's plans. He just might switch sides yet, and end up with Rick's group...unless the Governor kills him first.

I think even the governor's lieutenant is slowly seeing the good side of Rick's group via Daryl, somewhat ironic though...

42 minutes of yapping and 3 minutes of shagging. This, after the previous episode's side trip filler.

Up next week: zombie blood cakes up on the pavement.

I know the TV series consciously deviates from the plotline and character roster/relationships of the comics, but the second half of this season is getting to be a real drag, especially when compared to the nail-biting suspense and action in the comics' Governor story arc nearing the jailhouse confrontation.

And dang it, we didn't get to see Michonne torture the bejesus out of the Governor, either.

well, she didn't get tortured too. i wanted that torture to happen but i guess it's too gruesome for ANC. Maybe if it was on a different network.

Yup, looks like Milton's turnaround in the tv series would be better than that in the comics for the reason you stated.

Still, the third season is the most boring season.
