Shouldn't the fever still be caused by some kind of infection? Ordinarily if we get a cut or wound, we don't get a fever unless we get an infection. I would theorize that there's something in the saliva or blood of the zombie that's causes an infection which causes a fever and eventually death.

This is exactly my thought that's why I think it's a risk na pahiram mo yung body mo ng zombie bodily fluids of any kind. On the other hand, it's a regular scene na zombie blood gets splattered all over when they knock their heads off. So nasa zombie ipin lang bale ang spread ng virus? So dapat ngang bungalin ang zombie.

Pumasok lang sa isip ko because of Ebola. Sorry sa mga affected.

i'm not very sure, but I think that it was explained when they were in CDC that it is only triggered when your brain stops functioning, hence you only turn when you die ... this is fiction, so it does not have to follow the logic of other disease such as Ebola

Hershel's bitten leg was amputated to immediately stop the spread of zombie infection...if I recall correctly.

Relatively slow episode, coming from that great season-opener ...... though some tasty revelations, near the end.

This was one event from the comics, which I fully expected to happen, just because of the shock factor.
