Overall, I find the final episode still slow, similar to the last 2 episodes before it.

Pacing. This now about people adapting to a castastrophic event. It's no longer about just the undead. It is about the changes in people. As if to remind us that death comes in different forms, they took Beth away. No one is safe.

Mas madami pa din nanonood at sumusubaybay. Kahit na bumabagal pacing at may mga flaws sa story e isa pa din naman sya sa mga ok na series. Kanya kanyang trip lang yan.

Mind telling us what shows you watch just to compare?

^In the US, TWD has even beaten Sunday Night Football in the ratings game consistently, and we all know how the Americans love their football, so not exactly sure where the "surprise" is coming from. :p

Medyo hindi na kasi compelling yung mga "villains" eh kaya parang hindi ko rin masyado nagugustuhan lately yung mga episodes. Not like Shane and the Governor. Ok sana yung cannibals. Kaya lang minassacre naman agad nila.

Masyado kasing predictable kung may new set of adversaries. The Terminus event ended with the reveal that the men were cannibals. That was the highlight of that road. That chapter needed to be closed.

Right now, the show is showing different aspects of a post apocalyptic event. It shows humanity breaking down. That needs pacing.

Understandably, depth doesn't appeal to everybody.

They are just using that to lengthen the show, and make more money out of it while it's hot... Typical american series style, parang smallville.

I'm sure sooner not later, mag-eend na yan, dahil sa wala ng gana ang mga tao, hindi dahil tapos na talaga ang story. Kaya kakalabasan, VERY LOUSY ENDING...

Kaya ang mga american series na lang na pinapanood ko ngayon ay mga MINI-SERIES like HBO's.

On the contrary, that's what I liked about this season so far. Ang bilis ng pangyayari with the cannibals. the first episode was explosive agad before slowing things down a bit with the hospital arc, and winding up with the death of a beloved character (medyo pilit yung manner of death, imho). Unlike before when they dragged out that season with the governor. And admittedly, that season at Hershel's farm was too slow for comfort.

Oh, and don't look now, but a companion series is in the works, focusing on another group in the zombie apocalypse. Ill advised, possibly, but that's Hollywood for you. They're gonna scrape this barrel for all it's worth. :p

Don't know if you've read this before, but apparently when the Walking Dead comics was first pitched to publishers, the twist was that the zombies were supposed to preclude an alien invasion.
