In case anybody want a cheap, non-famous 32" LCD TV, I saw the "OVATION" brand at PC Option Gilmore selling at php16,900+ price. This is the cheapest that I have seen. And they have a unit on display and running, with an Xtreamer connected to it. It has 1 year warranty on it. You might want to check it out.

This one does not have any glass on the screen. Just plain matt plastic, like that of previous generation of laptop.

ewan ko lang ha...pero my officemate just came from singapore (3 days ago) and 42 inchers go for as low as 18K (toshiba) but he cant remember the model no.

would you know how we can ship from singapore door to door without having to pay for taxes? and if we do pay taxes how much sa electronics?

on shipping sino pwede yung mga fragile items such lcd tv...

kasi at 18K + say 3k shipping kahit walang warranty baka kaya na ilaban at i-risk...pano pa kaya mga 32 inch baka 8k + 3k nalang...di ba?

pwede na talaga ilaban...

Nice guy to talk to. Ordered a 55, no risk naman since no downpay and all.

sir pano arrangement nyo? meetup ba or kayo pupunta sa kanya? maganda sana kung papayag din siya deliver yun item sa bahay na mismo kahit bayad nalang ng extra for delivery ;)

I can bro, plus 9000 pesos cargo fee....pero ang pumipigil sa kin na bumili is yung warranty claims, as what some of our mates here pointed out..

Puede ng sapalaran, yung warranty naman dito pag grey market.  in house lang naman for 1 year.  eh brandnew naman yan.  Kaya yung mga 100 or 110 volt lagyan ka agad ng tag yung power cord para iwas sabog. ;D ;D ;D

For me i will not sacrifice my money. Yah it is the same with grey unit being sold here but the grey unit being sold here has in house warranty. Last time that i have ship some computer parts from other country its in your own risk it is insured but not in the original amount of the unit since the shipping is cheap. If the unit has been damage or lost you will not get the original price of the unit. You got it cheap for around 20k savings and if your unlucky that you get lemon unit then your 20k saving will be then nothing since the warranty will not be locally and you will be the one to ship back where you buy or you will have it warrantied locally with fee.  ;D ;D

i have a friend who bought a samsung 52b750 at $1600 sa US and sent the lcd using abs-cbn forwarder for only $300. the lcd arrived after 45 days in cebu without problem. according to him, the lcd was delivered by the store to his house and the forwarder picked up the set at their house, so no hassle. he only secured the panel side with lots of clothes so it wont get damaged during transport.

in his case he bought the lcd around half the price here in pinas hence the risk is justifiable. but when i checked the price of the samsung 40b530 during the thankgiving holiday, it cost $700 at best buy & amazon. assuming the freight of the smaller lcd costs $200, then the total price will be $900 (42k). if you get this same lcd from our suking tindahan you will have 1 yr warranty (in-house or manufacturer). the cheapest i inquired so far was 49k. IMO, the 7k price difference is not worth the hassle, risk and waiting time. but if you get the bigger lcd from the US you will have better savings ;D

I will go to the mall this wednesday to check kung may natitira pang panny sa store, çoz the last time I went there, people have crowded the place to purchase these bagsak presyo panny's.  Almost all items here now are on sale during this season, coinciding with the regional occassions.

I'll double check also Sony lcd's since my friends said they have a promo now, waived na yung shipping fee, just select the model you want here, pay, then yung same model will be coming from local philippine distributor directly delivered to your house.

I also saw some 65" samsung and sharp lcd's here, mababa ang price nya, ill double check it later.

Where can I find the best deal for Samsung 40" LED or regular LCD TV? My friend is already decided in buying from  a mall appliance store. Na sales talk ng salesperson e.  But I got her to wait for a few more days since I know mall prices are way too high than our sources here.  I already PM'd SnS the other day but they're not that as quick as before when answering queries for prices.  I bought my LCD at SnS Dec last year and I got a great deal from them so I's hoping they can extend it also to her.

My friend is particularly interested in the Samsung UA-40B6000 or the LA40B650.  She was quoted at the mall with an HTIB package but I have already convinced her not to get the HTIB and instead get a descent HT gears. She knows that HTIB won't cut it for her.

Now, if the sellers here are monitoring this thread, kindly PM me your best deal for the models i mentioned above (TV only, not packaged w/ HTIB)  before  my friend buys it at the mall.... or anybody here know where i can get this at bargain price?  My friend says this is her Christmas gift to herself so she wanted to buy it ASAP.

Thanks.
