amplifier question
« on: Sep 02, 2009 at 06:07 PM »
hi

i have a question and i know you guys out there can enlighten me about this

i was wondering if you can suggest an amplifier for my hometheater that would also have a good 2 channel output (prefferably one with a speaker a and b switch)

my original choice would be a dsp a1 but i cant seem to find one anymore any other suggestions

btw a phono input is also a major plus

wanna have the best of both worlds? look for TOTL models like you've said yammy dspa1 - top-of-the-line model (late90s?,2001?).

...phono-input? you'll find this feature probably 90's model (just like my rxv596 +5.1dd and dts).

@simon,

There's a Bada 5ch integrated amp, just PM Matzter for the other details. It wont have the tuning features and remote functionality as a DSP-equipped AVR, but if you have a good source and the room isn't problematic to begin with, I'd stick with this. Not usre if it has more than one set of inputs, but if you use a good universal player, you can just use its internal DAC to decode signals, and then you can use the BADA for 2ch audio, SACD, DVD-A and DVD concerts. So if you lean towards audio with the capability to watch movies with surround effects, I'd get this and just save up for a realy good source. Maybe start with a Pioneer DV600, then upgrade to a Marantz later on.
