R2 is out (check UK DVD websites like Blackstar.co.uk), the R1 version is will be released along with the American remake in March -----  The Ring on DVD - 3/4/2003

Mahal ng R2 versions in Amazon.uk.  I won't spend that much on poor AV quality of those movies

There aint no NTSC version DVD of the Ring (The PAL R2 is too expensive- released by TARTAN)

as for the VCD.. the HK release has been long gone out of stock..

should someone offer you its a BOOTLEG.. so dont expect a price more than 500P

Ringu (or Ring) Region 1 will be available this March in the US. Dreamworks is releasing it together with Verbinski's remake -- which is a great marketing move if you ask me.

For sure, it'll be a better transfer than the Tartan release in Europe.

Again be warned.. if you were offered with prices that reach to 1000P never buy it no NTSC release as of now!

Will there be an English-dubbed DVD release of Ringu?  

Some people are distracted by having to read subtitles, and it might lessen their enjoyment of the movie.  God help them if they are slow readers as well.  My mother-in-law is one of them.

Bently.... Check the symbol on the bottom part of my ring trilogy and check the symbol on one of the DVD captures on that DVD in EBAY sold...

Bottomline the dude there is also selling the bootleg version

That the only legit RING version available in TSC and region free format is the RING VIRUS ( The not so scary Korean version)

That the only legit RING version available in NTSC and region free format is the RING VIRUS ( The not so scary Korean version)

NTSC but Region 1 will be out in one week. Based on the trailer that was featured in the DVD of THE RING (American version), the video transfer is VERY MUCH IMPROVED over the Tartan version.



Bad thing about the American version DVD though... they didn't include any of the deleted Chris Cooper footage. I was looking forward to seeing what his role could've been.
