Hello all, units have already arrived in the Philippines.
We're waiting for Philippine Customs to do their thing
so that we can pay duties and taxes.

Keeping fingers crossed that we can have them in our
warehouse by Friday.  If we get them on Friday, I will
make special arrangements to have an office open on
Saturday so that you can pick up your eTRAYz and
SideWinders.

eTRAYz didn't make it out of Customs last Friday.  Our Customs broker is doing everything he can
to try and get it out today.  Keeping fingers crossed.

Dear friends,

Our shipment of eTRAYz and SideWinder arrived in Customs last week; they've
been languishing in a warehouse for almost 2 weeks now.  Just yesterday, we
learned that an employee of our Customs broker stole quite a bit of money (that
he was supposed to pay to Customs).  That employee kept giving us all sorts of
excuses about delays in this and that, since he couldn't process any paperwork.

To make a long story short, his boss found out what he was up to and has stepped
in to solve the problem.  We are now waiting for his update. 

I would like to extend my personal apologies for putting you through the long wait,
firstly because of MVIX delays in shipping and secondly for the delays caused by our
Customs broker.  It's frustrating for everybody, me included.  I've been wanting to
get my hands on an eTRAYz just as badly as you do.

I will post again as soon as I have news.  At least now, I know exactly what is going
on... and the Customs broker has assured me that he is pushing hard to get the
goods out as soon as possible.

Sorry again - and thank you so much for your continued patience.

One of the senior moderators on the Xtreamer Official Forum is using a couple of WD 1.5TB drives, and he says it works fine.  You can search it out on the forum.

Xtreamer Admin also advised me that we have received the latest batch of eTRAYz with the latest firmware update; HDD issues with the most popular/common drives have been resolved.  He wasn't very specific, though. 

I think setting up as two discrete drives should be ok, based on the report of the moderator mentioned above.  But if implementing RAID0, RAID1, etc., I can't say since I have no experience myself.  I'll be experimenting, even though I don't plan to set it up in RAID mode.

If the hard disk is unusable or if you lose capaicity, due to a factory defect in
material or workmanship, of course it can be returned for replacement under
warranty. 

As I indicated in a previous post, factory warranty is honored.
