Topic: Technics SL-1200 MKII VS Denon DP-1200

Which one do you reckon is better? I'm asking this question because yesterday, I seen one selling it for AU$150 in old record shop here in Sydney. The Denon DP-1200 is also direct drive.

These two are among the many consumer-grade turntables that had wide following as well-built and durable turntables.  I don't think one is better than the other, though the technics sl1200mk2 is the hands-down favorite among DJs since it came out.

i would go for the denon dp1200. only because it looks very pretty especially in rose wood finish.

you may also search for the "victor JL B31" over the net if you are also into this kind of TT appearances.

i have yet to see denon tt at previous clubs i played. all are using sl1200. that means something, doesn't it?
