Topic: DVD Player that play mkv files

Any idea if there exists a DVD player which can decently play mkv files? Most probably this is an upscaler DVD player with USB inputs.

Now, why didn't I think of that.. just a question have you tried putting an external DVDROM to your NMT? And did it work/played dvds? I was planning on buying a seperate NMT and DVD Player buti nabasa ko to.

It's one of the features of most (if not all) NMTs.

Most PC shops sells internal BDRom driver for less than Php 7,000.

You need USB 2.0 enclosure or better yet ESATA capable enclosure for less than 2K.

Thanks Philander. So, about 10T.  Already OT but might as well - Any reason why it should be an external drive, and not internal?  TIA  I suppose it's just a plug and play thing and I can have my Media Player Classic which plays 1080p mkv files to play BD files right away, right?  TIA

The reason Im suggesting external is for connecting to NMTs. However for Desktop PC, internal is still best.
Media Player Classic, Im not sure if it can play BDs. Before (in my previous work), we are using WinDVD software to play BDs, IM sure PowerDVD is capable too.
