Definitely. I think the only exception is if you have that super video processor of Streetsmart. I dont know about that. But in my case, just straight to HDTV, yeah the quality of originals (I only have HD-DVDs) are certainly superior than MKVs, the extent of which would depend on the level of compression.
If you can manage to get any 25-40GB pure BD rip and your NMT is capable of smooth playback, do give it a try. Kapag at least 18mbps na ang average bitrate ng video, it's pretty darn high quality image already. Of course depende pa rin sa quality ng original. For instance, something like Gladiator's Remastered version really blew me away...and Se7en remastered too - parang cine talaga.
