I don't remember Magnavision releasing this title on DVD before it lost the rights to Universal titles. Although, I am not really sure. Anyway, Viva has released the DVD of...

Hmm... the 350 price tag of a new title released by Viva worries me. Will Universal titles be of substandard quality like their 375 releases or do they just have a good deal with Universal?

I guess only time will tell... Maybe if Viva finally release a really new (as in 2010) title from Universal, then we will know for sure. Their Universal releases (save for Bruno) seems to have imported discs, though sometimes I wonder if those are Magnavision leftovers (like if they bought Magnavision's remaining Universal inventory then repackage it).

The difficult thing is, the sales representatives of Viva usually don't know the products they are selling. It's only after you have bought the DVD when you find out it's not what you're expecting in terms of quality.

Same here. I wanted to grab "State Of Play" last Saturday but the cover looks pale compared to the one with the "imported" sticker when it first came out via Magna. Wasn't able to get that one because of all the other titles on sale late last year.

Cut them some slack, at least they are still Imported DVD9 and priced low. The low-res DVD artwork does need improvement...

Regarding Inglourious Basterds, it is 2-disc, so I am guessing the contents should be good & similar to R1....

I've seen this already and couldn't help but notice how tacky the
"2-Disc" label is on the cover. Plus, the DVD cover is a bit short for the Amaray casing (like most new Universal re-releases from Viva). Why couldn't Viva replicate the quality of their locally printed Disney releases?
