I tried putting my HTPC to sleep and hibernate but it keeps on turning on right away. I already disabled wake up on LAN. I am using Windows 7. What could be the problem?

Mga HTPC Masters...
I have a Lenovo Laptop which I'm planning to use as HTPC.
The dedicated VC is GTX-660M and Integrated VC is Intel HD4000.
I already installed the latest drivers for the GTX-660m but when I checked the sound playback devices the supported formats only are core DTS and Dolby (No HD Audio)...
Also when I tried using PowerDVD I can't bitstream HD Audio

Another noob question, diba kapag ginamit na ang HDMI output automatic na dedicated VC ang gamit at hindi integrated VC?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Parehong nakaenable sa Device Manager...
Pero ang alam ko yung HD4000 na integrated capable din dapat ng HD AUdio bitstream sis.
Natry ko na din sa TMT saka XBMC, parehong downsample sa core audio(DTS/Dolby) sis...

download ka splash pro....bitstream lang ang option dun....
sa software configuration lang yan.... ako sa TMT ko pati PDVD ko....nagiging dolby and dts lang option kapag hindi ko pinatay sa firewall ung internet connection....

Try ko sa SplashPro...
Problem ko lang sa SplashPro hindi capable ng BD menu.
Yan kasi main purpose ko sa laptop, to play BD menu kaya try ko sa PowerDVD and TMT, nyahahaha!!!

Brader check mo sa BIOS. Dun na di-disable ang VC.

I am using Intel HD-4000 at naka HDMI connection sa Anthem Processor ko..
Check mo yung playback devices mo kung anong driver, kung HD4000, dapat Intel Display audio ang lalabas at dapat default device sya.

Yung sakin kasi when using HDMI, "High Definition Audio Device" yung nakalagay...

Download mo rito yung latest driver ng Intel Hd4000 (audio and video driver combined)..just select your OS
After installation, lalabas na yung intel display audio sa device manager (under sound video and game controllers). After that go to playback devices (right click sa sound icon at right corner) then select intel display audio and click set default.

sis kaya ko pinapatry ung splash pro to isolate the problem... one at a time...

if splashpro software bitstream remux movie meaning your vc was installed properly next pagtuunan ng pansin ung TMT and Powerdvd.....
recently kasi ung tmt and powerdvd ko when my wife uses the htpc to connect to the net nasisira...nawawala ung option magbitstream......lumalabas lang sa TMT pcm decoded and DTS no option for full bitstream

Ewan ko ba parang may mga nababasa akong issues ng HD4000 with Windows 8.1

my 2TB Samsung HDD full of movies failed and I dont have any backup the damn thing doesnt even appear on the bios, what is the best way to backup HDD?

^ you can consider NAS with multiple HDD, then use RAID. If one hdd fails, you can replace it or hot swap it and it will rebuild your files.

get a video card with HDMI-out and an Integrated HD audio controller like Radeon HD 7750.

my old rig can bitstream naman ( same s picz nYo ) pero once u try to test individual speaker using ( demo file ), halata na un side and rear surround ay parang naka matrix lang xa unlike using my NMT na separate talaga un sound coming out s side and rear.

1. File used were DTS HDMA movies and Demo file na for 7.1 ( un mag sabi ng this is left...center....right channel etc..)
2. Gigabyte 78g
3. Splash PRO
4. Using HDMi

VS

xtreamer SW3

do i really need dedicted Vid card or pwd na onboard basta un MOBO ay HD Audio capable lang? FM2 Quad sana plan kO.
