MARTIN & POPS rare team-up in movies is now on DVD.

MARTIN & POPS CLASSIC MOVIES includes ALWAYS & FOREVER and SI MISTER AT SI MISIS and a bonus video coverage of their wedding added in Mister movie. ;D Always & Forever used to be shown almost everynoon on Ch.5 with 'Pigro' Pig supplement as its sponsor! Priced at P395. I happened to like Always & Forever theme. Very '80's.

ALWAYS & FOREVER (1986) and SI MISTER AT SI MISIS (1986)

These are the estranged couple's hit (or missed?) attempt in acting foray. Martin in recent concert interviews recalls and despised his acting in the said movies and I'm not gonna argue with that. ALWAYS is basically a potboiler film for obvious reason. The plot's flimsy but still works due to Zialcita's charm in writing and directing department. It's nice to see Dang Cecilio in this film.

      TRADEMARK DANNY ZIALCITA DIALOGUE:
"Dave, wala na akong pakialam sa tama at mali. Basta't ang alam ko, kung wala ka, wala ring araw, puro kadiliman. Sawa na 'ko. Habang buhay na lang ba tayong mag-aaway? I'm tired of fighting. There's a wedding gown. Gawa na. Sukat na. I wanna used it. Will you marry me? (long deafening pause caused by Dave a.ka. Martin) Ayaw mo yata e. It's alright. Madami pa namang lalaki sa mundo. Meron pa naman siguro magkakamali sa akin." - Billie (Pops) to Dave (Martin)

SI MISTER, on the other hand, is silly in most aspects with less-than-a-minute footage of their celebrated wedding added in one portion of the movie. Comedic sequences are too corny specifically the 'comfort room and a bomb' scene. The movie has been tagged as their first team-up since they got married. The movie bombed to say the least, so does their marriage eventually.

           TO LOVE AGAIN (1983)

It's better since the first time I saw this movie on the big screen. Not your usual Sharon Cuneta vehicle albeit numerous pa-cute moments. Danny Zialcita has a way of presenting an altogether different Sharon in this Viva-produced teen flick back when wholesome movies were indeed 'wholesome'. The 'easy-listening theme has stood the test of time and though it has been revived(?) by other singers, it's nothing quite hearing the original voice.

Sa akala mo ba by saying i'm sorry ang lahat ng pagkakasala sa mundo ay forgiven at forgotten? Subukan magkamali ang America na bombahin ang Russia, pagatapos tumawag si Reagan saying, 'I'm sorry.' Do you think the Russians will take it sitting down?" - Eddie Garcia to Sharon Cuneta in Dear Heart
