To get back OT... here are some of my "codes" (aside from the no lending rule):
1. Original shrinkwrap must be intact even after I open the DVD/BD. I make sure to cut it carefully using a blade in such a way that I could slip it back over the dvd/bd case.
2. If I couldn't follow #1 and the shrinkwrap gets torn, then I make sure to put the dvd/bd in a resealable plastic bag.
3. If the DVD/BD is a U.S. import, chances are, it will have this white sticker or label at the top, bearing the title. I make sure to keep it intact by slitting it in the middle (longitudinally) instead of completely peeling it off the case. I like it that way so my dvds/bds would still look new even after I open/unseal it.
4. And this is a weird habit of mine... If by any chance I couldn't keep rule #1 and the shrinkwrap happens to have stickers on it, I cut out those stickers and keep them inside the DVD/BD case. Wala lang... trip ko lang. LOL
5. All DVDs/BDs with slipcases MUST be placed inside a resealable plastic bag and kept in an airconditioned room.
6. SteelBooks, as much as possible, should be kept sealed. But if I couldn't keep this rule, then they also must be placed inside resealable plastic bags once they are opened and kept in an airconditioned room as well.
well there ya go. that's all I could think of right now... will add na lang if I thought of some more...
