You won't go wrong with LG LH70YR features and mostly the price compare to the price of samsung. Proud owner of this unit.

In terms of picture I'll go for samsung
I find the "unclean" whites on LG, parang it compromises the whites with its high(max) contrast ratio

I've seen both in the same room and my vote goes to the LG in terms of PQ.

It has more features, too.  There are so many posts here in the flat panel forum that show this.

While I agree the LG in pure white mode is a bit dirty, the colors bests out the Samsung. The Samsung was just pale all throughout switching from their respective settings.
