I suggest you get a Palit HD4670 and get an extra 1GB of RAM.

Your PSU might not be compatible with a 9600GT and the HD4670 would be more than enough for your needs, and it is a bit cheaper.

You NEED to upgrade your video card and Ram to at least 2GB

i agree with the recommendations to replace your video card to HD4670 and add another 1GB of memory ...that should be able to handle 1080p movies .... your processor speed should be fine ... use KMPlayer and coreavc decoders and you should not have any issues with the 1080p's

try checking at tipidpc.com

Marami sellers doon. I think no need to change your mobo. Just add 1G ram then the VC. HTH.

Instead of changing the VC, it would be more effective to upgrade the CPU itself.  What can you buy for 6-7K?

Or keep the PC as is and supplement it with a Mede8er for 8K.  Solved.   Dalawa pa possible players mo  ;)

Walang mention sa sound card?

You'll want at least a sound card that can output the DD/DTS signal over optical. Dunno how it'll work with HDMI connections from your video card—unless your video card can also carry the audio signals.

That is, if you already have a receiver. Otherwise, you'll need sound card that itself can decode at least 5.1 DD/DTS and output line-level suitable for 5.1 PC speaker sets. But I'd rather have a dedicated receiver and 'real' speakers for audio.

kse tinutulungan ko ung friend ko at the same time baka mag buo din ako.

requirements lang nya is parang malalagyan ng 4 hardisks, makakapg play ng Hi-def na movies, and pang gaming.

-anong motherboard?
-anong video card?
-kung mag quadcore or i7 na ba or core 2 duo pa din?
-AMD x4?

kung makakapag suggest po kayo mga sirs..salamat po..:)

You can check tipidpc for the current market prices.  Baka less than 3k na lang yung price.

If you have a 7300 then your mobo is compatible with an HD4670.

If you want to update your processor, you can get a C2D e7400/e7500 for around 5k, I believe.

Mga masters, medyo OT: Can i connect a powered / active sub to a pc? Is there a possibility it can damage the onboard soundcard or a creative xifi titanium sound card?

The powered sub has a built in amplifier. and it has an rca connection type. so i just an adapter to connect it to my pc?
