Hi Guys! Just wanted to ask wether the lead star in the Manhunter(1986) movie Brian Cox is the same actor under the role of forensics expert Gil Grissom in the CBS produced show C.S.I. ? The resemblance is just striking. Sana naman RPN 9 would air this on local TV.It really is a good show most specially for high school and college students, lots of Scientific stuff.

It's the same actor, but it isn't Brian Cox. It's William Petersen.

Brian Cox played Hannibal Lecter in MANHUNTER.

That was stupid of me. Since I judged it on the movie billing- Brian Cox's name was first in the credits section which made me thought he was the lead star which was the detective. Hanibal Lecter was there on the film but he was mainly supportive and had a "weak" characterization in the movie compared to the 1991 and 2000 sequels.

Hey! Brian Cox wasn't "weak"! I happen to admire how he portrayed Lecter. He played it subtle and cool, like Lecter could actually be a good shrink, a respectable intellectual.

I enjoyed Anthony Hopkins' performances, but subtle is a word that definitely does not apply to them. One look at his Lecter and you could tell that the man was a total freak.

Si wcvmorasa pang-Discovery Channel kasi medyo serious - doctor of forensics ang dating, ako pang-Hollywood kasi it's more of the pa-effect and hype(CSI, the tv show, hehehe), si PARC pang-America's Most Wanted...obviously!

Wasn't there a movie like this before wherein the spouse was the killer and the other spouse was trying to find out what really happened?

CrUzSACK as a Profiler.. hoho pang Discovery Channel na rin. so how would you profile your husband, PARC the Ripper? oops Did I just open a hornets nest?

Anyway going back to topic. Does anybody know when the next season of CSI is coming back on AXN? Need my fix

... While I'm waiting, the 2 hour show on Mondays on AXN at 22hrs and Friday Crime Night on Discovery Channel will suffice for now.

Any favorite Murder Mystery Movies you might want to recommend.. oops.. off topic again..

Are u talking about the New York Ripper? Though they werent a married couple. Has anyone seen the episode(CSI) last Monday night? The kidnapped baby thing? Uso ba talaga sa U.S. yan? Mothers killing their babies, the so called "shaking thing"?

I missed this last Monday!

But yeah, apparantly the "shaking thing" happens a lot in the States, I forgot the term...."shaken baby syndrome?"

. Dito sa Pilipinas bihira mo lang mabalitaan, but in the States madalas. They said that if you shake the baby real hard something snaps at the back of the neck or something, so the baby dies.....I have to get back to reading about that, nakalimutan ko na. :-/

C.S.I. is back woohoo!!!!!

the show last night was kind of lame though, only had one crime being solved.

The evidence was too conveniently easy to piece out thus an easily solution to the mystery.

The episode last Wed? Had the tv volume on "4" lang coz PARC was trying to get some sleep so I didn't hear the dialogue well. But even so, I had sort of a clue as to who did it, had something to do with the way the suspects were introduced/positioned in the show last night. It's like the camera or whatever you call it, gave it all away. $:-\$

Here's a look at the cast of CSI: Miami:

I'm guessing that from left to right, these would be the equivalents of Nick, Catherine, Grissom, Warrick, and Sara Sidle.

Sheesh, what the hell are they thinking milking the franchise like this? They'll run out of ideas even faster! Well, at least they got a much more attractive cast.

Also joining the cast is NYPD Blue's Kim Delaney.

Hmm... Caruso and Delaney together on one show? Pretty soon, they'll probably be adding Jimmy Smits, Rick Schroder and Sharon Lawrence.

I'd be okay with that, but if Sipowicz ever shows up...

CSI: Miami debuts this fall on CBS, so I'd expect it on AXN by next year. I'm thinking this will probably be the show AXN will use to alternate with CSI when the original series is on hiatus?

Oh, no...no....no...no...the original cast of CSI --- they are much more attractive.

I'd choose Grissom over Caruso's character anytime.

Only because I think that Grissom the actor (don't know his name!

), can carry the "matalino" look compared to Caruso.

Yep - William Peterson is Gil Grissom, Marg Halgenberger is Catherine Willows, Jorja Fox is Sara Sidle, Gary Dourdan is Warwick Brown, George Eads is Nick Stokes, and Paul Guilfoyle is Captain Jim Brass.

Hey i kinda like the first guy though. he was in "The Don", that godfather-ish sequel they showed on cable a long time ago.

He always plays murderers and stuff. Interesting that now he gets to solve them.

David Caruso looks more like a Brass type than a grissom type. He cannot pull off the smart look.

Marg H. - She had this movie I saw on Cinemax once, ala Basic Instinct kind of psycho-thriller. She was the seductress or something...sexy, sexy woman.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it was a movie with David Carusso but I don't have a good memory so... $:-\$ But the woman was her, she played the sexy widow or something. That's why when I saw her on CSI I thought, "Cool! She can actually do something that's not sexy and still look sexy!"
