Whoa! The Suns put on an offensive onslaught, particularly in the 2nd Quarter where they scored a huge 41 points. They were literally shooting from everywhere, including the men's room ( to quote the late Joe Cantada
). Had it not been for Kobe, LA would have been buried deep in that 2nd quarter. Actually, I thought LA did a better job vs the Zone Defense of Suns but it wasn't enough. Big difference was the bench scoring of Suns who outscored LA, 54-20!
Next game is in LA. For Laker fans, the stats of Coach Phil is quite a relief. Jackson is 46-0 when his team is leading 2-0 in a best of 7 series. And it's hard to imagine LA losing 3 in a row in a series.
I might sound sour graping( well, I am a bit ) but if LA will face Boston in the Finals, this loss might be good for them so they toughen up, particularly in defense. Oh well, as my brother texted me a while ago- "Boston? Lumusot muna kayo sa Phoenix!" Tahimik lang ang talunan siyempre.
